In 2002, the Swatch Group notified all watch brands that it would cease or reduce the supply of ETA ébauches, resulting in the so-called "ETA 2010 problem." Since then, skilled watchmakers have pushed forward with the development of in-house movements to maintain a stable supply and hedge against future risks. As a result, the watch industry now boasts an unprecedented number of high-quality in-house movements. Meanwhile, ETA's grace period for supplying ébauches ended on January 1, 2020. To mark this occasion, the Japanese edition of Chronos, released on February 3, 2020, conducted a survey on the current state of in-house movements, compiling data on "in-house developed movements" and "current models." Eight watches were ranked. This time, please choose the best model from the survey and vote. The results will be announced in early June.
