The "Chronos Top 10 Watches Rankings," a reader-selected series, was launched in conjunction with a regular feature in Chronos Japan. The system is quite simple: webChronos readers are asked to vote for their No. 1 watch from among the top 10 watches in Chronos Japan's rankings. This time, we tallied the results of voting from December 25, 2020, to January 5, 2021, on the theme of "chronograph models with additional chronograph-related features," such as flyback, split-seconds, and coaxial counters.

- The fact that it is a coaxial chronograph means that it maintains the Portuguese design while enhancing its functionality.
・Even among chronographs, it has a simple and elegant feel.
・I found its sporty yet calm elegance to be very appealing.

⤴︎3nd place
Breitling Navitimer B03 Chronograph Rattrapante 45

・The coveted rattrapante. This one is particularly realistic.
・When considering whether the design is timeless and likely to survive into the future, this is the best of the three. Furthermore, the Rattrapante is highly refined as a tool watch, due in part to its practical use as an aviation watch.
・By adopting a simple and revolutionary structure that differs from previous split-second chronograph movements, it can be used safely and practically, unlike conventional split-second chronographs that require delicate operation and maintenance. Furthermore, as a result, costs have been kept down, making it one of the few split-second chronographs that even an ordinary office worker can actually buy and use.

⤴︎2nd place

I was shocked when I saw the first model and fell in love at first sight. I remember feeling strangely convinced when I found out that Philippe Dufour, who sparked my interest in watches at the time, had purchased one. It's a watch I definitely want to own someday.
- It's a highly desirable chronograph, but it's more elegant than sporty.
-I felt that this model combined historical inheritance with evolution.
