　The Grand Seiko Heritage Collection Mechanical Hi-Beat 36000 80 Hours was released in 2020. Its biggest talking point is that it is equipped with the newly developed automatic movement, Cal. 9SA5.

　The dual impulse escapement, a coaxial escapement that combines the advantages of the Swiss lever escapement and the detent escapement, improves the movement's transmission efficiency. Furthermore, by incorporating two barrels, the movement achieves a long power reserve of approximately 80 hours despite being a high-beat movement with a frequency of 36,000 vibrations per hour.

　At the heart of this high-frequency movement is a winding balance spring whose optimal winding shape was derived from approximately 8 simulations, and the balance wheel is a free-sprung type that is highly resistant to shocks.

　Cal. 9SA5 is a top-of-the-line automatic movement that combines high accuracy and isochronism with ease of use thanks to its long power reserve.
