A low table powered by a Nissan V8 engine converted into a winding machine

Mr. Chrono, a Paris-based watch supply store, has released a unique low table with an automatic watch winding machine function. The winding machine, which also serves as the table's base, is a modified Nissan racing engine.

　Jean-Philippe Tharo, a journalist who runs and writes for the watch website "MONTRES DE LUXE," is also a co-owner of a watch shop called Mister Chrono. Mister Chrono is a watch accessories store that sells watch-related items such as straps, winders, and storage boxes, based on the concept of a "watch shop without watches." The store has its flagship store in Paris, France, as well as branches in Hong Kong and Singapore.

　Mr. Chrono has just announced a very special product that they have been preparing for a long time. This special product is a low table with a watch winder. What is surprising is that the watch winder is made from a Nissan V8 engine.

　Just looking at it, you can see that this coffee table is highly original and rare.The legs of the glass coffee table are made from the VK45DE engine of Nissan Motorsports International (NISMO), which competed in the Le Mans Prototype 2 (LMP2) class of the FIA ​​World Endurance Championship.

　The construction of this approximately 30kg piece of furniture took several months. The project began with the search for an engine, which was then meticulously cleaned and re-plated.

　To take advantage of the V8 engine's layout, the eight cylinders were subsequently converted into eight winding machines, each with its own independent winding program, allowing the automatic watches in your collection to be individually wound to their optimum state.

　This product is merely a "table," so four pistons are fixed to the four corners of the crankcase, and a 65cm x 75cm glass is placed on top of them.

　This coffee table, of which only one was made, is on sale for 5900 euros.
