G-SHOCK Expands Full Metal Collection with Deep Bordeaux-Colored GMW-B5000RD-4

First introduced in 2018, G-SHOCK's Full Metal collection captivated legions of fans and has become one of the most distinctive and celebrated series in the brand's contemporary portfolio. Three years after its debut, G-SHOCK is once again reimagining the series, pioneering new developments. Among the new models introduced is the GMW-B5000RD-4, dressed in a rich bold color.

　Those familiar with previous models in the "Full Metal" collection, such as the popular GMW-B5000D-1 and the titanium-cased GMW-B5000TB, will find this new model's style familiar. Like those models, the GMW-B5000RD-4 features the iconic case shape with its distinctive brick-shaped digital display. This case shape follows the design of the first G-SHOCK model, the DW-5000C, from 1983. As its color and reference number suggest, the GMW-B5000RD-4 is based on the GMW-B5000 series, which inherits the genes of the first model. It features a deep red ion-plated satin-finished metal bezel and polished band, combined with a black-and-white reversed LCD dial.

　The GMW-B5000RD-4 features an appearance reminiscent of the first model, combined with a unique Bordeaux color scheme that is its greatest feature. Packed with features and highly practical, this new model is an ideal response to the demands of G-SHOCK fans for an expanded lineup.

　The GMW-B5000RD-4 features a Super Illuminator LED that allows for clear reading of the dial even in dark environments, renowned shock resistance, 200m water resistance, and practical Tough Solar technology, which means the watch will virtually never stop running as long as you wear it regularly and expose it to frequent light sources.

　Other features include Bluetooth connectivity, which allows pairing with a smartphone using the G-SHOCK app and time synchronization, Multiband 6, which automatically adjusts the time by receiving standard radio waves from Japan (Fukushima and Kyushu stations), China, North America, the UK, and Germany, a 1/100-second stopwatch, an LED light for improved visibility in dark places, world time display, four daily alarms, and a countdown timer.

　The GMW-B5000RD-4 is priced at 7 yen (excluding tax) and is available at retailers nationwide and the G-SHOCK online store.
