A tribute model celebrating the world's first battery-powered wristwatch

Hamilton's Ventura was the world's first electronic watch, released in 1957. Elvis Presley famously wore it in the 1961 film "Blue Hawaii." Hamilton, which now considers the Ventura its iconic watch, reaffirmed its connection to Elvis by releasing the "Elvis 80" series, a modern interpretation of the Ventura, in 2015, the 80th anniversary of Elvis's birth. In 2017, to mark the 60th anniversary of the Ventura's creation, the avant-garde see-through model, the "Elvis 80 Skeleton," was added to the Elvis 80 line. Its successor, the latest model in the series, the "Ventura Elvis 80 Skeleton Auto," was released in 2021. This tribute model honors Hamilton's creation of the world's first battery-powered wristwatch, and features a striking central zigzag pattern that stands out against the see-through design.

The sapphire crystal has an anti-reflective coating, and the case is water resistant to 50m.

The dial, like the 2017 Elvis 80 Skeleton, features sword-shaped hands and hour markers coated with luminous material. A zigzag "Electric Pulse" pattern runs across the center, inspired by the 1950s Ventura that adorned Elvis' wrist. The rose gold PVD model features rose gold hands and "Electric Pulse," while the black PVD model features nickel-plated hour and minute hands and a red second hand and "Electric Pulse" pattern.

A rose gold PVD model that exudes a unique yet elegant atmosphere.

The automatic caliber H-10-S, which can be seen through the dial thanks to its see-through design, was developed exclusively for Hamilton by ETA, which is also part of the Swatch Group. The balance is a free-sprung balance without a regulator, and the power reserve is approximately 80 hours thanks to an improved design of the power transmission through the gear train from the barrel to the escapement. The main plate and bridges are finished with Côtes de Genève, adding to the decorative look.

Both the rose gold PVD and black PVD models feature a triangular case integrated with a black rubber strap, which is secured securely to the wrist with a buckle. Both are priced at 238,700 yen (tax included), which is a great value for the price of owning the famous Ventura.
