This model features a "Gravity Control Mechanism" that keeps the regulating mechanism horizontal in accordance with the movement of the watch itself, in order to counteract the effect on timekeeping accuracy caused by positional differences. This unique mechanism, located at 6 o'clock, is particularly eye-catching. The gold-based dial is divided into multiple layers and features a mosaic of meteorite, aventurine glass, and Grand Feu enamel, evoking the mysteries of the universe. This model features an independent escapement dedicated to the chronograph. Both escapements are tourbillons, with the timekeeping escapement at 8 o'clock rotating once every 60 seconds and the chronograph escapement at 10 o'clock rotating once every 5 seconds. The star-studded skeleton dial is colored in a blue reminiscent of the night sky, and the sapphire crystal case further enhances its mystique. The chronograph can measure time to 1/100th of a second, and the central chronograph second hand rotates around the dial once every second. Zenith's Defy inherits the sharp case lines of the A3642, released in the 1960s. The Defy Extreme is a further update of this iconic model. It features a 12-sided bezel, a hallmark of the A3642, and a robust case with a screw-down crown and water resistance to 20 bar. It boasts high specifications both inside and out, including a movement with two escapements that can measure time to 1/100th of a second when the chronograph is activated. The case is crafted from lightweight titanium, and in addition to a titanium bracelet, it comes with a rubber strap or Velcro strap, which can be easily interchanged using the quick-change mechanism.

This commemorative limited edition model was released to celebrate the fifth year of the partnership with Habanos and the 55th anniversary of the partnership between Habanos and Cohiba, the cigar brand produced by Habanos. The coloring, with the lower half of the dial in saffron yellow and the upper half in a black and white checkered pattern, is inspired by Cohiba's packaging. Both Cohiba and Zenith are individually handcrafted by artisans, and this model is a fusion of their shared philosophies. The movement used is Zenith's legendary chronograph, El Primero. Limited to 55 pieces worldwide, it comes with five Cohiba cigars in special packaging.

Zenith's Chronomaster Sport was released in early 2021. An 18K gold case model has already been added to this much-talked-about model. The combination of a black ceramic bezel and gold case can easily be overbearing, but the use of a matte white dial in addition to the tricolor subdials gives it a refreshing impression. The central chronograph seconds hand rotates around the dial once every 10 seconds, making it easy to measure 1/10ths of a second. High-frequency chronograph movements are not uncommon these days, but I feel that it is significant that this model is designed to fully utilize their performance.
Chronomaster Revival A3817

This model is a modern-day reproduction of Zenith's "A3817," released in 1971. Its design combines the cushion case of the "A384" with the tricolor dial of the "A386." The compact 37mm case, its "Shark's Tooth" jagged outer scale, and beige Super-LumiNova create a retro feel. It is, of course, powered by the "El Primero," a movement that has been honed for over half a century. The movement can be admired through the see-through caseback. It is available with a "ladder" bracelet, a reproduction of the Gay Flair bracelet used on the original, or a leather strap.
