A summary of Chopard's new watches for 2021

Alpine Eagle Cadence 8HF

　Inspired by the 1980 St. Moritz, Chopard's Alpine Eagle was launched in 2019. While a latecomer to the luxury sports watch scene, it has garnered attention for its high level of refinement. The new Alpine Eagle Cadence 8HF features a titanium case and a 16-beat movement. In keeping with modern luxury watches, the exterior features a combination of satin and polished finishes, creating a high-quality finish that at first glance seems unrecognizable from titanium. The movement's ultra-high frequency makes it resistant to external disturbances, making it suitable for even more active lifestyles. The extensive use of silicon parts ensures a power reserve of approximately 60 hours. The arrow-shaped logo on the dial and case back is proof of the ultra-high frequency movement. Only 250 pieces are available worldwide.

Mille Miglia Bamford Edition

　This model is a collaboration with British custom watch brand Bamford Watch Department. It is based on Chopard's Mille Miglia racing watch. The bead-blasted stainless steel case is DLC-coated. The dark gray dial features orange on the hands and parts of the sub-dial, adding a design accent and ensuring excellent visibility. Orange is also used on the stitching and back of the Cordura-finished black rubber strap. The see-through case back allows for a view of the movement. The sapphire crystal on the case back is smoked to match the color of the case and dial. Only 33 pieces will be available worldwide.

LUC Flying T Twin

　This model is equipped with the Cal. LUC 96.24-L, a thin automatic flying tourbillon movement that is just 3.3mm thick. The 18K ethical white gold case is also kept to a thickness of 7.2mm. The center of the solid gold blue dial is guilloched with a honeycomb pattern, representing the brand's symbolic beehive. The movement, equipped with a 22K gold micro-rotor, allows you to admire the tourbillon mechanism from the dial side, and the intricate finish of the bridges from the case back. The tourbillon mechanism, which makes one rotation every 60 seconds, is fitted with a built-in seconds hand and also features a stop-seconds function. Only 50 pieces will be available worldwide.

LUC Full Strike Dia de los Muertos

　This unique piece features a calavera design covering the entire dial. As its design suggests, this piece pays homage to the traditional Mexican festival, "Day of the Dead." The calavera is hand-carved by artisans using the champlevé technique. The hammers for the minute repeater form the right eye, and the power reserve indicator forms the left eye, subtly incorporating functionality into the design. The bezel is paved with sapphires, and the 18K ethical white gold case is fully engraved. The movement, Cal. LUC 08.01-L, developed by the company in 2016, produces a clear tone with a sapphire crystal gong.

LUC Full Strike

　This minute repeater watch features a bold skeletonized design, revealing the movement from the center of the dial. The blue-gray dial is galvanically treated. A hammer is located at the 10 o'clock position, and by pressing the crown-top button, a loud and clear sound can be heard from the sapphire crystal gong. The mainspring and repeater power reserve are displayed coaxially at the 2 o'clock position, and the regulator is located at the 8 o'clock position. The Caliber LUC 08.01-L, certified with the Geneva Hallmark, can be seen through the case back. Only 20 pieces will be sold worldwide.

Mille Miglia 2021 Race Edition

　Chopard, celebrating its 34th consecutive year as the official timekeeper of the 1000 Miglia road rally, has announced the limited edition Mille Miglia 2021 Race Edition. Available in two models: a stainless steel model and a stainless steel and 18K ethical rose gold combination model, the former limited to 1000 pieces worldwide and the latter limited to 250 pieces. Each model is equipped with a COSC-certified automatic chronograph movement. The gray dial features a circular satin finish and a balanced arrangement of small seconds, 30-minute counter, and 12-hour counter. The "1000 Miglia" inscription, referring to the date display, subtly affirms the company's deep connection to the race.

LUC QF Jubilee

　Chopard has added the "LUC QF Jubilee," a model celebrating the 25th anniversary of the Chopard Manufacture. This model is notable for its COSC and Qualité Fleurier (QF) certification. To achieve this, a watch must pass the first hurdles: exposure to high and low temperatures, high humidity, repeated push-pull tests on the winding stem, magnetic resistance tests, and repeated shock tests. The second hurdle is achieving dynamic accuracy within 0-+5 seconds while faithfully simulating real-life posture changes and movements. These simulated real-life patterns include golf swings and clapping hands, creating extremely demanding test conditions for a mechanical watch. This Qualité Fleurier-certified model, despite its slim case diameter of 39.00mm and thickness of 8.92mm, is a rare dress watch that can withstand active use. While Chopard has previously offered Qualité Fleurier-certified models, this is the first stainless steel model to achieve this certification. The case proportions are inspired by LUChopard models from the 1950s, and the clear seams between the circular case and lugs enhance the vintage feel of this watch. The movement is the LUC 96.09-L, with a stacked twin barrel providing a power reserve of approximately 65 hours and a 22K gold micro-rotor. Chopard's movement finishing is known for its extremely high quality, and this model's QF certification further enhances this expectation. The dial design features a Chopard blue sector dial, which has a sporty yet understated feel. Wedge-shaped indexes and tapered hour and minute hands ensure legibility, and a small seconds dial is located at 6 o'clock. This watch will be produced in a limited edition of 25 pieces.

LUC Perpetual Chrono

　The LUC Perpetual Chrono, featuring a perpetual calendar and manual-winding chronograph, has been expanded with a new model in a grade 5 titanium case. While incorporating complex mechanisms often results in larger watches, this model's lightweight titanium construction ensures a comfortable fit despite its 45mm diameter. The short lugs also minimize any gap between the head and the wrist, improving the overall fit. The LUC 03.10-L movement boasts many eye-catching features. The chronograph controls feature a column wheel and a patented vertical coupling clutch, ensuring a light and smooth push-button operation. The flyback function instantly resets the chronograph counter and hands via a patented progressive contact hammer when the zero-reset pusher is pressed. Furthermore, the 30-minute counter is accurately displayed thanks to a semi-instantaneous jumping minute counter. The unique display format features the perpetual calendar's day display, the chronograph's 12-hour counter, the month display, and the 30-minute counter all arranged on the same axis. Furthermore, the orbital moon phase display at 6 o'clock achieves an accuracy of just one day every 122 years.

LUC Time Traveler One Black

The new LUC Time Traveler One Black features a monotone case crafted from ceramized grade 5 titanium, a unique black hue characteristic of the LUC Time Traveler One. Ceramized titanium is produced by oxidizing the surface of titanium at high temperatures. Its lightweight, high hardness, wear resistance, corrosion resistance, and excellent biocompatibility make it a popular choice for aerospace, automotive, and medical equipment. The dark gray dial, crafted with a galvanic process, features a vertical satin finish in the center and a date display at the innermost edge. The monotone vegan rubber strap with a fabric-like pattern is made from natural materials and complies with the REACH regulation, which protects human health and the environment from chemicals. Reflecting Chopard's commitment to sustainable luxury, the rubber is water- and sweat-resistant, ensuring a comfortable fit.
