Grand Seiko's New Watches for 2021

Masterpiece Collection SBGZ007

　The Seiko 140th anniversary model, "SBGZ007," is inspired by the starry sky that unfolds over Achi Village in Shinshu, famous for being the most beautiful in Japan. The sparkling dark blue dial is achieved by applying multiple layers of plating and paint to a textured base. The platinum case that houses the dial is engraved with a radial pattern handcrafted by artisans, evoking the brilliance of a sky full of stars.

　The SD mark at 6 o'clock, familiar to Seiko fans of the past, certifies that the hour and minute hands and indexes are made of 14K White Gold. The movement is the manual-winding Spring Drive Cal. 9R02, produced at the Micro Artist Studio, also located in Shiojiri City, Shinshu. The delicate graining on the entire bridge highlights the carefully polished chamfers.

Sports Collection Quartz GMT Model

　Newly added to the Sports Collection are three Quartz GMT models. The stainless steel case, with its satin finish, creates a powerful impression and boasts water resistance to 20 bar and magnetic resistance of 16,000 A/m. While the specifications are those of a sports watch, the subdued monotone ceramic bezel and radially polished dial add to the elegance that is characteristic of Grand Seiko. The Cal. 9F86 movement is a practical quartz GMT movement with an instantaneous date change mechanism and independent hour hand correction function. This is a versatile model that can be used both on and off the job, at home and abroad.

"SBGN023"

　The SBGN023 is a limited edition model commemorating Seiko's 140th anniversary. Half of the dial ring, the GMT hand, and the logo are finished in gold, and the radial grooves on the dial represent the sunlight shining at dawn. The serial number engraved on the case back and the 18K yellow gold medallion featuring a lion give the owner a special feeling that only a limited edition model can have.

"SBGN019"

　The regular model, "SBGN019," features vivid orange on half of the dial ring, the GMT hand, and the logo. This classic color scheme for Grand Seiko's GMT models creates a solid design. The 24-hour bezel is narrow, creating a clean impression.

"SBGN021"

　The regular model, "SBGN021," features a light blue dial ring, GMT hand, and logo. The dark blue bezel, which is different from the other two models, enhances the sporty impression. The crown is located at the 4 o'clock position, designed to avoid contact with the back of the hand when worn.
