This is a masterpiece made by skilled artisans at the factory. The interior is a calm brown color. "LEISURE 14 EAST/WEST TOTE". Height 42cm x Width 44cm x Depth 20cm. 161,700 yen (tax included).

Serapian bags, loved by stars of Hollywood's golden age

Serapian is a luxury leather brand founded in Milan by Stefano Serapian in 1928. After passing through the second generation, Aldavasto Serapian, the company was passed down to the third generation, Giovanni Serapian, and is now a family business boasting a history of over 90 years. Founder Stefano Serapian is a craftsman who handles everything from design to production, and is also a collector of vintage leather.

The brand's uncompromising philosophy extends beyond the quality of its leather. From the tanning of carefully selected, high-quality hides to the finest finishing touches, every process is completed in Italy, making it truly "Made in Italy." Serapian's top-quality bags were popular primarily among upper-class Milanese women, and later spread beyond Italy to become popular with celebrities of Hollywood's Golden Age. Celebrities who wore Serapian bags included Bette Davis, who starred in "The Woman of the Black Orchid" (1938) and "All About Eve" (1950), Ingrid Bergman, who gained popularity for her roles in "Casablanca" (1942) and "Gaslight" (1944), and Frank Sinatra, one of the most iconic entertainers of the 20th century.

Serapian bags appear in the film "How to Steal a Millionaire" (1966). The leading actress, Audrey Hepburn, wears a Givenchy suit and carries a white Serapian bag. Incidentally, the jewels in this film are Cartier. This means that Serapian bags are recognized worldwide alongside Givenchy and Cartier.

Today, Serapian uses unique materials for each design, such as Mosaico, a woven leather bag (invented in 1947), Cashmere, a soft calfskin bag, Evoluzione, a water- and scratch-resistant embossed calfskin bag, and Stepan, a cotton bag with a PVC coating (invented in the 1970s). This time we will be introducing the new men's collection, LEISURE 14, which combines canvas and grained leather. The natural and light brown colors create a refreshing feel, making this a bag you'll definitely want to have as the early summer approaches.
