8 Marvels of the World

Louis Moinet has announced the "8 MARVLELS OF THE WORLD" series, which pays homage to the greatest monuments built throughout human history. This series consists of eight watches. The case designs are broadly divided into two types: a 45.4mm diameter watch with skeletonized lugs, and a 47.0mm diameter watch with lugs extending from the bottom of the case. The relationship between each case and motif is as follows:
45.4mm case model
・The Colosseum in Rome
・Petra ruins in Jordan
・Machu Picchu ruins in Peru

(Left) "Colosseum." Manual winding (Cal. LM35). 19 jewels. 21,600 vph. Power reserve approximately 72 hours. 18KRG (diameter 45.4mm). Water resistant to 30 bar.
(Center) "Machu Picchu Ruins." Manual winding (Cal. LM35). 19 jewels. 21,600 vph. Power reserve approximately 72 hours. 18KRG (diameter 45.4mm). Water resistant to 30 bar.
(Right) "Petra Ruins." Manual winding (Cal. LM35). 19 jewels. 21,600 vph. Power reserve approximately 72 hours. 18KWG (diameter 45.4mm). Water resistant to 30 bar.
47.0mm case model

(Left) "Christ the Redeemer." Manual winding (Cal. LM35). 19 jewels. 21,600 vph. Power reserve approximately 72 hours. 18KRG (diameter 47mm). Water resistant to 30 bar.
(Right) "Great Wall of China." Manual winding (Cal. LM35). 19 jewels. 21,600 vph. Power reserve approximately 72 hours. 18KRG (diameter 47mm). Water resistant to 30 bar.
・Istanbul's Blue Mosque
- Egypt's Pyramid of Khufu
・India's "Taj Mahal"
・The Great Wall of China
- "Christ the Redeemer" in Rio de Janeiro

(Left) "Taj Mahal." Manual winding (Cal. LM35). 19 jewels. 21,600 vph. Power reserve approximately 72 hours. 18KRG (diameter 47mm). Water resistant to 30 bar.
(Center) "Pyramid of Khufu." Manual winding (Cal. LM35). 19 jewels. 21,600 vph. Power reserve approximately 72 hours. 18KRG (diameter 47mm). Water resistant to 30 bar.
(Right) "Blue Mosque." Manual winding (Cal. LM35). 19 jewels. 21,600 vph. Power reserve approximately 72 hours. 18KWG (diameter 47mm). Water resistant to 30 bar.
Each model features a different motif on the dial, and the case side and bezel are engraved with an engraving inspired by the motif. The watch is powered by the hand-wound Cal. LM35 movement, which features central hour and minute hands and a tourbillon at 6 o'clock, and has won a gold medal at the International Chronometry Competition. This model also comes with a special watch case reminiscent of a trunk case.

Moon Race
Louis Moinet has released the "MOON RACE" series, a collection of four watches that pay homage to the moon landing, one of the greatest achievements in human history, which took place in the late 1960s and early 1970s.
First on the Moon

Manual winding (Cal. LM35). 19 jewels. 21,600 vph. Power reserve approximately 72 hours. 18KRG (diameter 45.5mm). Water resistant to 30 bar.
The first is the "First on the Moon," which celebrates the first soft landing on the moon by the Soviet Union's unmanned lunar probe, Luna 9, in 66. This event marked the first impact in the race to land on the moon and accelerated the American Apollo program's lunar landings. The dial of this model incorporates a genuine piece of Luna 24, the last lunar probe ever to land on the moon.
マン・オン・ザ・ムーン

Manual winding (Cal. LM35). 19 jewels. 21,600 vph. Power reserve approximately 72 hours. 18KRG (diameter 45.5mm). Water resistant to 30 bar.
The second is "Man on the Moon," which pays tribute to the achievement of Apollo 11, the first manned moon landing in 69. The helmet shield of the space suit depicted on the dial is made from the polyimide film that actually protected the hull of Apollo 11 as it navigated through space. The moon on the dial is depicted using a real lunar meteorite named "Dar Al Gani 400," which was discovered on Earth in 98.
Around the Moon

Manual winding (Cal. LM35). 19 jewels. 21,600 vph. Power reserve approximately 72 hours. 18KRG (diameter 45.5mm). Water resistant to 30 bar.
The third is "Around the Moon," depicting the Apollo 13 mission, often called the "most successful failure" of 1970. The mission ended without landing on the moon due to damage to the service module, and the crew orbited the moon under extreme conditions before returning safely to Earth. The hand-engraved dial features the same polyimide film that protected the hull of the spacecraft during its journey of over one million kilometers.
Last on the Moon

Manual winding (Cal. LM35). 19 jewels. 21,600 vph. Power reserve approximately 72 hours. 18KRG (diameter 45.5mm). Water resistant to 30 bar.
The fourth piece is "Last on the Moon," which celebrates the 1976 unmanned lunar exploration by Luna 24, the final mission of the Soviet Union's Luna program. Luna 24 landed in an uncharted area known as the Mare Perilous and returned 170 grams of sandy sediment to Earth. Trace amounts of water were successfully detected in this sample, which contributed greatly to subsequent research. The spacecraft depicted in this work uses the resin-coated braided fabric of the real Luna 24.
Both models are equipped with the hand-wound movement Cal. LM35, which features central hour and minute hands and a tourbillon at 6 o'clock, and has won a gold medal at the International Chronometry Competition. This model also comes with a special watch case reminiscent of a trunk case.
