The birth and evolution of the Royal Oak Offshore Diver
The Royal Oak Offshore Scuba Wempe, a limited edition of 35 pieces released in 2005 to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the German watch manufacturer Wempe, is considered to be the prototype of the Royal Oak Offshore Diver. Although it already had a rotating inner ring, it lacked water resistance.
In 2010, the Royal Oak Offshore Diver was officially released as the Ref. 15703. As a genuine diver's model with high performance, it quickly gained popularity among many watch enthusiasts.
Then, in 2014, the reference 15707 was released, which allowed the finishing and operation of the movement to be viewed through the transparent case back.
New 2021 model equipped with Cal.4308
In 2021, Audemars Piguet released three new Royal Oak Offshore Diver models, arguably the most significant evolution of the model since the introduction of the reference 15703 in 2010.
The new movement is the Cal. 4308, which boasts a power reserve of approximately 60 hours. The strap can also be easily replaced with a push button.
