Blancpain has announced the release of the feature-length documentary film "Fifty Fathoms - The history as told by the pioneers who created it." Narrated by American Emmy Award-winning actor and writer Peter Coyote, the film reconstructs the most significant milestones in the watch's creation and 70-year evolution. The film features direct interviews with Jean-Jacques Pfister, the inventor of the Fifty Fathoms; Captain Robert "Bob" Maloubier, who adopted the Fifty Fathoms as the French Navy's diving watch; and Marc A. Hayek, Blancpain's President and CEO, who revived the iconic timepiece.
