Although artists' live performances have been significantly restricted in recent times amid the COVID-9 pandemic, there are signs that live shows are slowly returning. B'z, who will celebrate their 34th anniversary since their debut in September 2022, are about to embark on their nationwide tour "LIVE-GYM," and have announced the summer release of a new album, so it looks like there will be plenty of upcoming appearances. This time, we'll be taking a look at the Rolex watches worn by B'z members Koshi Inaba and Takahiro Matsumoto.

A well-known rock unit that has been active since its debut in 1988
B'z has many fans not only in Japan but also overseas. A few years ago, when I was traveling and the song "Ultra Soul" came on in a taxi, I said, "Oh, that's B'z!" and the driver replied, "They're a worldwide artist!" (The driver seemed to be a big fan, as he had many CDs in the car.)
Even non-fans may have heard that they became the first Asian musician to be inducted into the Hollywood Rock Walk Hall of Fame in 2007. Although concert tickets are known to be difficult to obtain even for fan club members, they actively appear at various music events and continue to grow their fan base.
B'z's songs are written by Koshi Inaba and composed by Takahiro Matsumoto. Recording often takes place in Los Angeles and Tokyo, with production also taking place in New York, Hawaii, Okinawa, Fukuoka, Osaka, and other locations. The two, who travel the world constantly, are known to give each other Chrome Hearts products on their birthdays, and are the object of admiration for their fans, including their personal belongings.

Rolex "Snoopy Datejust"
In 2000, when "Tonight, on the Hill Where the Moon Is Visible" was released, a watch was introduced on a fan site as Inaba Koshi's personal property: a Rolex "Snoopy Datejust" (Editor's note: custom made by Bamford), limited to 25 pieces worldwide. The Rolex emblem is black, and Snoopy is wearing red-framed sunglasses, making it a rare model.

Considering his dedication to sticking to his favorite style of music, there was a photo of him wearing the shoes posted on Instagram in 2015, so it's likely that they are still part of his collection.
This year, Inaba Koshi will also be trying his hand at voice acting for the first time in the film "SING," and stuffed toys of the lion rock star he will play are in short supply.
Takahiro Matsumoto wears a Rolex Oyster Perpetual Submariner
Takahiro Matsumoto, a world-renowned guitarist from Japan, has been frequently seen wearing a Rolex Oyster Perpetual Submariner with Rolesor. Rolesor is a term coined by Rolex and refers to models made of 904L stainless steel and 18K gold.
One of the iconic features of Rolex, Rolesor was first used on the Oyster Perpetual Datejust in 1948. It is known among fans as the watch that Takahiro Matsumoto wears on a daily basis, and in addition to the black dial, he is also known to own a Rolesor model of the Oyster Perpetual Submariner with a blue dial, which he wore in his fan club newsletter.
