Jaeger-LeCoultre "Hybris Artistica Calibre 945 Galaxia"
Manual winding (Cal. 945). 28,800 vph. Power reserve approximately 40 hours. 18KPG (diameter 45mm, thickness 16.05mm). Water resistant to 5 bar. Limited to 5 pieces worldwide.

Jaeger-LeCoultre has announced the Galaxia and Atomium versions of the Master Hybris Artistica Calibre 945, which feature a celestial disc that rotates in sync with the current time and sidereal time, a tourbillon that orbits alongside the celestial disc, and a minute repeater.

The stars in the sky, which change due to the combination of the Earth's rotation and revolution, are known to complete one revolution in 23 hours, 56 minutes, and 4.1 seconds, which is called a sidereal day. Because a sidereal day is slightly shorter than 24 hours, the arrangement of stars visible after sunset changes daily, resulting in the seasonal change of constellations.

This timepiece expresses the dynamism of this celestial body, with the celestial disc rotating in sync with the sidereal day, recreating the night sky of the Northern Hemisphere as seen from 46 degrees north latitude, the same latitude as Jaeger-LeCoultre's headquarters. Furthermore, this timepiece is equipped with a tourbillon, which rotates once every 60 seconds, while also revolving in sync with the rotation of the celestial disc.

The Galaxia's domed black dial features a gold outer dome and an inner celestial disc, with planets depicted in grisaille enamel.

The openwork that forms the outer part of the Atomium dome resembles the lines that connect the stars to form constellations on a star chart, while the celestial disc is decorated with planets in midnight blue grisaille enamel.

In addition, the minute repeater installed in this model fully demonstrates Jaeger-LeCoultre's expertise, not only striking the time accurately but also producing a harmonious tone as a musical instrument.

Jaeger-LeCoultre "Master Grande Tradition Calibre 948"
Automatic winding (Cal. 948). 28,800 vph. Power reserve approximately 48 hours. 18KWG (diameter 43mm, 14.13mm). Water resistant to 5 bar. Limited to 20 pieces worldwide.

Jaeger-LeCoultre has announced the Master Grande Tradition Calibre 948, a world time complication model featuring a three-dimensional world map painted using the enamel technique of champlevé and a tourbillon that completes one rotation every 24 hours.

The Caliber 948 not only rotates once every 60 seconds like a typical tourbillon, but also revolves counterclockwise around the dial in 24 hours. As it does so, the world map as seen from the North Pole and the surrounding city rings also rotate, indicating the local time in each city.

One of the highlights of this piece is the three-dimensional world map. It has a two-layered dial base, with the orbiting land area and the ocean beyond, each layered with the traditional champlevé enamel technique. This was created by carving depressions to resemble actual ridges into a white gold plate cut to the shape of the land area, then filling these with layers of enamel. The ocean area also features blue lacquer applied over guilloched engraving to resemble waves, giving it a textured and deep finish.

While this model may appear complicated at first glance, it is also designed for ease of use. To adjust the time, you first use the crown to set the time of a specific city on the city name ring and 24-hour display, then adjust the hour hand independently to match the local time. This allows you to check the local time of your current location with the hour and minute hands, and you can check the local time of major cities around the world at a glance.
