Chopard's luxury sports watch, the Alpine Eagle, has added a model equipped with a flying tourbillon. The collection, which launched a three-hand model in 2019 and has since featured flyback chronographs and ultra-high frequency movements, has now finally released a model equipped with an ultra-complex mechanism.
While the basic design, including the integrated bracelet case, remains the same, the pattern on the dial, inspired by the iris of an eagle, is centered around the tourbillon carriage. The movement is only 3.3mm thick. However, it offers functions and specifications comparable to those of a conventional movement, such as automatic winding with a micro-rotor and a power reserve of approximately 65 hours thanks to a stacked double barrel.
It has been awarded the COSC-certified chronometer and the Hallmark of Geneva, demonstrating the high level of precision and finish quality. The case is made of Lucent Steel A223, a stainless steel alloy that is hypoallergenic, durable, and aesthetically pleasing.
