Panerai's new releases for 2022

Luminor Goldtech Perpetual Calendar

　Panerai announced at Watches & Wonders 2022 that it will strengthen its collection of complications by adding the Luminor Goldtech Perpetual Calendar. This timepiece is limited to 33 pieces, and buyers will receive a special bonus of an exclusive tour to Florence to experience Panerai's heritage firsthand.

　This model features a 44mm case crafted from Goldtech, an 18K gold alloy containing platinum, paired with a smoked sapphire crystal dial. It's powered by the Cal. P.4100 micro-rotor automatic movement with a perpetual calendar. The dial features a day-date display at 3 o'clock, a day/night indicator at 9 o'clock, central hour and minute hands, and a GMT hand. The case back also features a year, month, leap year, and power reserve indicators.

　Another unique feature of the purchase is that purchasers will be introduced to a special tour of the city of Florence, a place associated with the brand, where they can learn about the Panerai worldview and enjoy the history, culture, and cuisine of Tuscany.

Submersible Quaranta Quattro

　Panerai has added the Submersible Quaranta Quattro, a 44mm case that bridges the gap between the 47mm and 42mm cases that have been available in the previous Submersible family. The new models include two stainless steel cases and one lightweight carbotech case.

　This latest model inherits the Submersible's distinctive 300m water resistance, the crown protector that ensures that water resistance, and the unidirectional rotating bezel that controls diving time, while adding a new model to the lineup that combines Panerai's signature size with a size that fits a wide range of people.

　Additionally, both models come with two straps made from rubber that is 30% recycled material, and fabric that is 68% recycled material.

　The new Submersible Quaranta Quattro, a stainless steel case model, features a black dial and the light blue used in the Submersible as an accent color. The strap is black.

　The other stainless steel case model is the Submersible Quaranta Quattro Bianco. This model features a white dial and a military green strap, giving it a stoic military feel.

　The Submersible Quaranta Quattro Carbotech Blue Abisso features a carbotech case. Carbotech is a carbon fiber-based composite material that is lighter than titanium, highly corrosion-resistant, and scratch-resistant. It is the lightest case material used by Panerai, making this large model lightweight and comfortable to wear. The dark case color is paired with a subdued blue dial and strap, accented with white Super-LumiNova for enhanced visibility.

Submersible Quaranta Quattro Luna Rossa

　Panerai has announced the Submersible Quaranta Quattro Luna Rossa, a collaboration model with the Luna Rossa yacht team competing in the America's Cup, the pinnacle of yacht racing. This model is limited to 1500 pieces and will be sold exclusively through Panerai Boutique and the official Panerai website.

　This model is based on the new 44mm Submersible Quaranta Quattro and incorporates the Luna Rossa team colors, featuring a sun-brushed blue dial and a bi-material strap with a dark blue base and red accents. The dial and strap are also adorned with the Luna Rossa logo. A second rubber strap is also included.

Submersible Quaranta Quattro eSteel

　Panerai has added the Submersible Quaranta Quattro e-Steel, a watch made from recycled materials with over half of its total weight made from recycled materials. This model is available exclusively at Panerai Boutique and the official Panerai website.

　This model is one of the results of Panerai's challenge to realize a sustainable society, including the watch industry. Based on the new 44mm Submersible Quaranta Quattro, the case is made of e-steel. e-steel is made from recycled materials while retaining the same corrosion resistance and physical properties as conventional case materials. To indicate the distinctive material, the word "eSteel" is written on the crown protector lever and the dial of this model.

　The included straps come in two types: one made from recycled PET fabric and one made from recycled rubber.

　The unidirectional rotating bezel features a polished ceramic disc, which is being used for the first time in this model, and the dial has a gradient that deepens in color from top to bottom.
