Longines has announced the Longines Spirit Zulu Time, a GMT-equipped model of the Longines Spirit. The company developed a pocket watch capable of displaying a second time zone in 1908, and in 1925 succeeded in incorporating a second time zone display mechanism into a wristwatch. This model was inspired by the "Z flag" on the dial of this wristwatch.
The 24-hour ceramic bezel rotates bidirectionally, allowing for easy time zone changes. The GMT hand has a black base for improved visibility and a Super-LumiNova-coated tip. Three color variations are available: a black bezel with a matte black dial and blue GMT hand, a green bezel with an anthracite dial and gold-colored GMT hand, and a blue bezel with a blue dial and orange GMT hand.
It is available with a calf leather strap with a folding clasp and a stainless steel bracelet, both of which feature an interchangeable system that allows them to be attached and detached with a single touch.

Longines' new collection, "Longines Spirit," was launched in 2020. This collection pays homage to the achievements of Longines and its historical pioneers, and has been well-received for its skillful case and dial finishing, in addition to the practicality of a pilot's watch. The lineup includes a three-hand model and a chronograph model, and while the three-hand model previously featured a 40mm case, this year a more easily maneuverable 37mm case model has been added.
There are three dial variations: sunray blue and matte black, which were also used on the 40mm case, as well as a new sunray champagne color. The strap is available in stainless steel or a calf leather strap that matches the dial color, and both are equipped with an interchangeable system.
The movement has a 72-hour power reserve and a silicon balance spring.
Cal. L888.4. The large crown is screw-down type and is water resistant to 10 bar.
