This is a series in which three editorial staff members from the Japanese edition of Chronos give their impressions of popular models and discuss them. This time, Deputy Editor-in-Chief Yukiya Suzuki, Hosoyan (aka Yuto Hosoda), and newcomer Yasunori Doi will freely review the Oceanus OCW-T200S-3AJF.

This connected watch pursues simplicity in both design and specifications. Its appeal lies in its versatile use, with a green dial with a metallic texture achieved through vapor deposition and a slim, multi-faceted case. It features Tough Solar technology, a battery life of approximately 20 months on a full charge (in power save mode), stainless steel (diameter 41.4mm, thickness 10.7mm), and 10 bar water resistance. Price: 66,000 yen (tax included).
A green dial incorporating Casio's technology
Hosoda
This is a truly classic model with three hands plus a date display. By connecting to the OCEANUS Connected app via Bluetooth, you can easily set the time to any country's World Time with just one touch.
(I.e.
The functions are simple and very good. Many multi-function digital watches are difficult to use, so I thought this was enough. The green dial was also beautiful.
Hosoda
It's solar-powered, with polycarbonate placed over the solar cell, and vapor deposition creates a nice metallic look. The cell becomes visible when exposed to strong light, but the dial's radial finish is generally beautiful. The photo was intentionally taken quite close up, but the cell is invisible when worn normally.
(I.e.
One thing that bothers me is that the indexes and hands shine too brightly in natural light, which is probably because the indexes are made of metal. But it doesn't look cheap.
Hosoda
The fact that the anti-reflective coating on the crystal is only on the inside may be one reason for the glare. However, I think it's well worth the price. The list price is 6 yen plus tax, but you can buy it for a little less on the market.
(I.e.
(Clicks to search...) This is certainly cheap!
A very satisfying case finish for a watch under 10 yen

Hosoda
It's reasonably priced, but the exterior is apparently made with Zaratsu polishing, which gives the case a beautifully defined ridgeline.
Doi
The case has a nicely polished finish with a hairline finish, the bracelet is also beautiful, and I think it's very satisfying for the price.
(I.e.
Yeah, I thought it was very competitive.
Doi
I like the vertical hairline finish on the top of the bezel, which gives it a very shiny, luxurious feel when worn.
(I.e.
The outside is polished, which gives it an even more pronounced three-dimensional look and sharpens the edges of the case.
The deputy editor-in-chief praises the packaging

Hosoda
How was the bracelet?
(I.e.
It was also comfortable to wear. It's not too stiff, not too loose, and doesn't pinch my arm hair (lol). It's light, so I have no problems using it on a daily basis.
Hosoda
That's right. The material is stainless steel, but the total weight is only 133g, so it's quite light.
(I.e.
The balance with the head was good, so I was able to wear it without any discomfort. 6 yen may be expensive for people who aren't watch enthusiasts, but I think it's a watch worth spending that much on.
Hosoda
When the average person thinks, "I want to buy a good watch," it is definitely one of the options available.

(I.e.
The green dial is on trend, and it's solar-powered. It's also very practical and the packaging is nice. It's waterproof to 10 bar, so you can use it without worrying.
Doi
That's a big compliment to Yukiya.
Hosoda
But it's true that it's water resistant to 10 bar, and the case is only 10.7mm thick. I think they really managed to achieve both.
