Watch experts have decided on the top five new releases of 2022. The Patek Philippe Calatrava, Norqain Wild One, and Omega's 6000m water-resistant diver were selected by watch writer and editor-in-chief of the online watch media Gressive, Masaharu Nabata. Nabata cited the large number of high-quality watches released this year that surpass those available before the COVID-5 pandemic as a key point.
1st Place: Patek Philippe "Calatrava 5226G"
While maintaining its simplicity, the lugs are integrated with the case back, and the guilloched pattern runs all around the case. The textured lacquered anthracite dial with a black gradient that darkens towards the periphery also adds a fresh touch.

This much-anticipated watch was launched in Zermatt, Switzerland in September 2022. The case is made of NORTEQ, a new carbon fiber material developed jointly by NORQAIN and BIWI, making it both lightweight and durable. The laser-cut three-dimensional dial is also a fresh design.
