Breitling and Premier de Cordet Support Initiative to Bring Sports to Children in Hospitals

Many watch brands support charitable organizations in their countries. Breitling has partnered with Premier de Cordet, a French organization that provides sports to children in hospitals. Breitling supports this initiative through the sale of limited edition models and special auctions.

Breitling supports the Premier de Cordet initiative

Premiere de Corde is a French charity founded to support hospitalized children in participating in sports within the hospital.

　As part of its "Sports in Hospital" program, the organization regularly organizes numerous sporting events for hospitalized children, with the help of top athletes.

　The goal of this activity is to provide sick children with a magical time away from their daily routine, and above all to teach them values ​​such as cooperation, respect and example through sports.

　For over 20 years since its founding in 1999, Premier de Corde has teamed up with top athletes to provide a sports venue for children with illnesses or disabilities.

　Currently, a team of approximately 150 volunteers and sports instructors provides sports opportunities to more than 8000 sick children each year.

　Premier de Cordais has famous athletes as ambassadors, including former figure skater Nathalie Pechalat, former rugby player Maxime Medard, former handball player Thierry Hommeyer, former cyclist Marion Luss, and former football player and coach Arsene Wenger.

　Breitling supports the activities of Premier de Corde.

　“Sport has always been a key element in Breitling’s history. Sport is not simply about champions and big competitions, but also about ideas that bring people together and foster tolerance,” said Edouard d’Arbeaumont, Breitling’s Managing Director for Southern Europe.

　Through its year-long partnership with Breitling, Premier de Corde raised a total of 29 euros in donations in 2021. As part of the partnership, Breitling has released a limited edition Superocean watch in Premier de Corde's colors.

　Breitling and Premier de Corde continue their partnership in 2022 with the release of the Endurance Pro Premier de Corde, a new model limited to 250 pieces in France. A portion of the sales proceeds from this model will be donated to Premier de Corde.

　In addition to creating the limited edition model, Breitling hosted an exclusive dinner on November 14th featuring cooking by renowned chefs Juan Arbelaez, Deny Ambroisi, and Julien Duboué.

　The dinner was also attended by an auction hosted by Stephane Aubert, an auctioneer from French auction house Artcurial, with 12 special prizes being auctioned off during the dinner, with all proceeds going to Premier de Cordais.

　The items up for auction include a vintage Breitling watch, a sailing experience with sailor Marie Tabarly, surfer Kelly Slater's surfboard, home dinners prepared by chefs, a Triumph motorcycle, a signed sheet music for Jean-Jacques Goldman's song "Je te Donne," and a signed artwork by sculptor Anne Mondy.

　Other prizes offered include a pair of VIP seats at Saint-Germain FC's home stadium, Parc des Princes, a Kylian Mbappé jersey, 12 VIP seats at Elton John's farewell party in Paris, and 12 VIP seats at the Six Nations tournament match between France and Scotland.
