Panerai has announced the Radiomir Otto Giorni, a tribute to the Radiomir prototype developed for the Italian Navy.
The Radiomir prototype, released in 1935, was developed at the request of the Italian Navy at the time as a diver's watch that could be read in the murky waters near naval ports.
After that, the Radiomir continued to be improved and supported many missions, and when it entered the commercial watch market in 92, it became a collection supported by many watch enthusiasts.
This work pays homage to the original Radiomir model and the history of the collection. The design code follows the traditional Radiomir, and the e-steel case has been aged to resemble the wear of many years.

Generally, a California dial refers to a distinctive design in which the half of the dial on the 12 o'clock side is Roman numerals and the half on the 6 o'clock side is Arabic numerals, and in Panerai's case, it is based on a model called Ref. 3646.
Until now, Panerai has used the California dial on 47mm models, but this is the first time it has been used on a 45mm model.
