■ First feature [Detailed report on new products for 2023] Shapes, colors, and materials that go beyond "luxury sports" seen in new watches

In 2023, Watches & Wonders Geneva (W&WG) will bring together companies from the Richemont Group, as well as Rolex, Patek Philippe, Grand Seiko, and others. Now in its second year, this luxury watch fair attracted over 43,000 visitors during its one-week run. Perhaps reflecting the booming economy, each company introduced ambitious models, as did the manufacturers announcing new products around W&WG.
What stands out among the new products for 2023 is the post-"luxury sports" movement. Companies are trying to go beyond the now-standard "luxury sports" genre by introducing new shapes, colors, and materials.
■Second Feature: Portraits of Iconic Pieces 75 NOMOS Glashütte "Tangent"

Since its release in 1992, the Tangente has become an icon of German watchmaking. The combination of a simple design and an excellent movement has given this model an astonishingly long lifespan. So how was Nomos, which had only just been founded, able to create a masterpiece like the Tangente? And why did Nomos decide to transform itself into a manufacture?
We would like to unravel the origins of the Nomos brand and its amazing evolution through the history of its signature model, the Tangente.
■Watch Paranoia Chronicles No. 53 "Masa's Pastime, Japan's Top Watch Restoration Workshop"

Pocket watches have a much longer history than wristwatches. There's a watch restoration workshop in Kichijoji, Tokyo, that can repair even hundreds of years old pocket watches. "Masa's Pastime" is a workshop that started out as a self-taught watch repairer, but has now become one of Japan's leading repairers. We take a closer look at the various challenges facing this top watch restoration workshop in Japan, which is currently also producing original watches.
