The Oris Aquis DatWatt Limited Edition II is now available with a distinctive green dial!

Oris continues its collaboration with the Wadden Sea Federal Secretariat by releasing a new limited edition of its popular Aquis collection. This model features a limited-edition color dial inspired by the salt marshes of the Wadden Sea. This is the second limited edition, following the 2021 release, and will support efforts to protect the Wadden Sea, a UNESCO World Heritage Site under threat.

Oris' relationship with the Wadden Sea, which nurtures a rich natural ecosystem

　The Wadden Sea is a land that undergoes a mysterious cycle, becoming sea and then land every six hours with the tides. This phenomenon repeats four times a day, making it the largest tidal flat on Earth. Though a World Heritage Site boasting abundant natural beauty, the Wadden Sea, known locally as Datwat, faces numerous threats. Due to the impacts of overfishing, pollution, tourism by boat, and climate change, the Federal Secretariat for the Wadden Sea (CWSS) works to protect the 11,500-square-meter area along the 500-kilometer coast of Denmark, Germany, and the Netherlands in Northern Europe.

　In 2021, Oris was certified a climate-neutral company in recognition of its participation in non-profit environmental conservation efforts around the world, including its work with CWSS.

A limited edition based on Oris's high-performance and practical diver's watch, the Aquis.

　More than just an iconic piece, the Dat-Watt Limited Edition II is a high-performance, practical diver's watch. Its bright, pale green dial, reminiscent of salt marshes, creates a refreshingly cool look. The 43.5mm case is water resistant to 30 bar (300m) and is designed to function flawlessly underwater. Features like a unidirectional rotating bezel, screw-down crown, and luminous hands ensure visibility underwater, ensuring diver safety.

Oris and environmental protection

　Oris has released several models supporting environmental conservation since 2010. As they produce a variety of diver's watches, they regularly release models supporting the ocean. Occasionally, they release models to raise funds for specific animal conservation efforts, such as the "Hammerhead Limited Edition" (2017), which raised awareness of the sharp decline in hammerhead shark populations.
