The Avenger, which Breitling has been developing for over 20 years, was renewed in November 2023. Not only has its performance improved, but a wide variety of variations are available, including a model equipped with the brand's Manufacture Chronograph Cal. 01. This time, we will introduce the new Avenger.

Breitling's Avenger has been redesigned!

On November 1, 2023, Breitling released the new Avenger. The new lineup includes four models: the Avenger B01 Chronograph 44, which is equipped with the manufacture movement Cal. 01; the Avenger B01 Chronograph 44 Night Mission, which also features the B01 movement but with a black ceramic case; the Avenger Automatic GMT 44, which features a GMT function; and the basic Avenger Automatic 42. All of these models retain the instrument-like style and toughness of the previous Avenger models, elevating them to even higher levels of pilot's watches.

New Avenger model

The Avenger was launched by Breitling in 2001. The collection was inspired by the 1980s Chronomat and features a bezel with rider tabs. In 2019, it was merged with its sister model, the Colt, and the design was revamped to form the new Avenger. The collection was further expanded in 21 with the release of a model equipped with the Cal. 01 movement, demonstrating its growing presence in Breitling's Air category.

Breitling has now revamped the Avenger collection, introducing four new models, each with a colorful dial variation.

Chronograph model equipped with the manufacture movement Cal.01

Breitling's New Avenger

"Avenger B01 Chronograph 44"
The lineup includes models with blue, black, green, and sand-colored dials. Straps are stainless steel or military leather. Automatic (Cal. 01). 47 jewels. 28,800 vph. Power reserve approximately 70 hours. Stainless steel case (44mm diameter, 15.2mm thick). Water resistant to 300m. The bracelet model is priced at 1,039,500 yen, and the leather strap model is priced at 1,100,000 yen (both prices include tax).

The new Avenger, equipped with Breitling's manufacture movement Cal. 01, is available with four dial variations: blue, black, green, and sand. The strap is available in stainless steel or military leather. The stainless steel bracelet has three links with a deployant buckle that can be finely adjusted.

This model features a sand-colored dial with a black subdial, featuring the popular "panda" design. It will look stunning on your wrist whether paired with a stainless steel bracelet or a military leather strap.

The case is about 1.2mm thinner, giving it a sharper look. Other notable changes include a new push button design and the addition of Arabic numerals to the bezel's scale. The bezel rotates smoothly and comfortably.

The manufacture movement, Cal. 01, can be seen through the see-through case back. For this model, the finish of this movement has been changed to enhance its matte appearance. The design of the movement has been changed to match the atmosphere of the model.

Additionally, a model with a black ceramic case, also equipped with Cal. 01, has been added to the lineup. The model name is "Night Mission."

"Avenger B01 Chronograph 44 Night Mission"
The "Night Mission" comes in two versions: a black or yellow carbon fiber dial with a military leather strap. The straps are also color-matched to the respective dials. Automatic movement (Cal. 01). 47 jewels. 28,800 vph. Power reserve of approximately 70 hours. Ceramic case (diameter 44mm, thickness 15.2mm). Water resistant to 300m. The black dial is priced at 1,265,000 yen, and the yellow dial is priced at 1,237,500 yen (both including tax).

The Avenger B01 Chronograph 44 Night Mission is available with a distinctive black carbon fiber dial or a vivid yellow dial. The black color gives a bold impression and matches the toughness of the Avenger very well.

The case back, crown, push buttons, and buckle are made of titanium, which, together with the ceramic material, contributes to the weight reduction. The case diameter is 44mm and the thickness is 15.2mm, which is dynamic, but its light weight makes it comfortable to wear.

With the introduction of the Cal.01 model, production of the previous Avenger with Cal.13 was discontinued.

GMT models

Breitling's New Avenger

Avenger Automatic GMT 44
The new Avenger with GMT function comes with a black or blue dial. It's available with a stainless steel bracelet or a black or blue military leather strap. It's automatic (Cal. 32). 21 jewels. 28,800 vph. It has a power reserve of approximately 42 hours. It has a stainless steel case (44mm diameter, 12.05mm thick). It's water resistant to 300m. The bracelet model is priced at 737,000 yen, and the strap model is priced at 698,500 yen (both including tax).

The new Avenger with GMT functionality is available with a black or blue dial and a choice of a three-link stainless steel bracelet, also with a deployant clasp, or a black or blue military leather strap.

The red accents on the second and GMT hands create a well-balanced design.

42mm automatic model

Breitling's New Avenger

"Avenger Automatic 42"
The basic automatic model, with a 42mm case diameter, is available with a black, blue, or dark green dial. It's available on a three-link stainless steel bracelet with a deployant buckle or a military leather strap. Automatic winding (Cal. 17). 26 jewels. 28,800 vph. Power reserve: approximately 38 hours. Stainless steel case (44mm diameter, 12.15mm thick). Water resistant to 300m. The bracelet model is priced at 643,500 yen, and the strap model is priced at 599,500 yen (both including tax).

A basic three-hand automatic model has also been added to the new Avenger lineup. It comes in black, blue, and green dials, but unlike the soft green of the Cal. 01-equipped model, a deep camouflage green has been added.

With a case diameter of 42mm, it is smaller than the other new Avenger models announced this time, but it still retains the ruggedness and toughness you expect from an Avenger. It's also water resistant to 300m, making it suitable for a variety of occasions.

Like all Breitling models, it is a COSC-certified chronometer.
