TAG Heuer releases new Carrera Chronograph! A masterpiece that combines a glass box and green color.

TAG Heuer announced a new model at LVMH Watch Week 2024. This model is part of the brand's signature Carrera Chronograph collection, and features a "glass box" design in green. The lineup includes two models: the TAG Heuer Carrera Chronograph and the TAG Heuer Carrera Tourbillon Chronograph. The chronograph model is inspired by the classic DATO.

Tag Heuer's new Carrera Chronograph is cool!

　TAG Heuer has announced the new TAG Heuer Carrera Chronograph and TAG Heuer Carrera Tourbillon Chronograph. These models feature the glass box crystal and vibrant green dial design introduced in the 2023 collection. This unique color, which TAG Heuer first used in a limited edition model in 21 and in a regular model in 23, recreates the vintage green paint used during the motor racing era from the 1920s to 60s.

New "Tag Heuer Carrera Chronograph"

　One of the new models is the TAG Heuer Carrera Chronograph. However, unlike the flagship model, which features three subdials, this model is inspired by the 1968 TAG Heuer DATO model, which features a 30-minute counter at 3 o'clock and a date window at 9 o'clock.

　Another notable feature is the "glass box" style, launched in 2023. The domed crystal seen on vintage watches from the 1960s is recreated with sapphire crystal, and the absence of a bezel allows the circular satin-finished green dial to stand out. Combined with the smoothly curved flange and rhodium-plated indexes and hands, the watch combines sophisticated design with practicality, such as excellent legibility.

　The case back is see-through, revealing the automatic movement Cal. TH20-07 with a power reserve of approximately 80 hours. One of the highlights of this piece is being able to see TAG Heuer's iconic shield-shaped rotor.

New "Tag Heuer Carrera Tourbillon Chronograph"

　Another new model is the TAG Heuer Carrera Tourbillon Chronograph, which adds a tourbillon to the chronograph. It also features a domed glass-box sapphire crystal and an eye-catching green dial. The tourbillon, visible through a wide opening at 6 o'clock, makes this an iconic watch.

　The movement used is the Caliber TH20-09, also released in 23. It's an improved version of the Caliber Heuer 02T, boasting high efficiency and excellent accuracy thanks to its bidirectional winding system, as well as a practical power reserve of approximately 65 hours. The watch's shielded rotor can be admired through the see-through case back.

　The list price for the TAG Heuer Carrera Chronograph is 819,500 yen, and the TAG Heuer Carrera Tourbillon Chronograph is 3,019,500 yen (both including tax). It is also worth noting that both models come with black alligator straps, which do not detract from the classic TAG Heuer style.
