Corum releases the rainbow "Golden Bridge" watch, limited to 18 pieces worldwide and available in Japan for the first time.

Corum's rare Golden Bridge 43, limited to just 18 pieces worldwide, has arrived in Japan for the first time. The unique shape, inspired by the Golden Gate Bridge (San Francisco), which opened in 1937 and held the world record for the longest suspension bridge until 1964, is round, unlike the standard tonneau-shaped model, and is set with 108 diamonds, making it the ultimate in luxury. The rainbow-colored golden bridge will be available for purchase from Friday, February 9th.

Rainbow jeweled case

　The 18K rose gold case is invisibly set with 96 baguette-cut gemstones of three different types (52 in the bezel and 44 in the lugs). The bezel and lugs between 3 and 5 o'clock feature 22 green tsavorites, the bezel at 9 o'clock features 6 red rubies, and the remaining 68 sapphires in shades of orange, yellow, blue, and purple shine like a rainbow, said to be a sign of good fortune.

　Tsavorite, ruby, and sapphire each have the meanings of "friendship and love," "connections and profit," and "success and fruition." These gemstones are perfectly suited to the Golden Bridge concept of "a watch that creates encounters with people and supports challenges."

Baguette-shaped movement

　Equipped with a baguette-type movement with a vertically aligned gear train, the watch features an 18-karat gold baseplate, which is difficult to craft, and is engraved with acanthus and ferns, which represent the floral meanings of "fine art" and "art." All visible parts, such as the screws, gears, and barrel, are meticulously polished, giving the watch an appealing work of art.
