Mandarin Oriental Tokyo hosts afternoon tea with the opportunity to try on Breguet watches

Breguet will be holding a collaborative afternoon tea at the Oriental Lounge at Mandarin Oriental Tokyo from Wednesday, May 1st to Sunday, June 30th. During this period, guests can enjoy a moment with Breguet in the lounge, enjoying pastries, savories, and carefully selected drinks inspired by the queen who was fascinated by Breguet and Breguet watches.
Additionally, every Saturday from May 11th (Sat) to June 29th (Sat), a corner of the lounge will be set up where you can actually try on Breguet timepieces.

Breguet Queen of Naples Afternoon Tea

　Founded in 1775, Breguet's client list included King Louis XVI of France, Queen Marie Antoinette, and Emperor Napoleon. In particular, Napoleon's sister, Queen Caroline Murat, was an avid patron of Breguet, owning an impressive collection of over 30 timepieces.

　In 1810, at a time when women wore watches as sautoir necklaces, she commissioned Abraham-Louis Breguet to create a bold and innovative timepiece that could be worn on the wrist. It is said to be the world's first wristwatch. Nearly two centuries later, Breguet watches, a symbol of elegance and advanced technology, continue to be loved by many women today.
