Seiko has released the "Eternal Blue Limited Edition" pair watch, themed on the mysterious night sky of Tanabata!

Seiko has released a new pair of watches from the "Eternal Blue Limited Edition Model" series, which has been running since 2016. The four models are based on the theme of the mysterious night sky of Tanabata, and include two pairs, Seiko Selection and Seiko Lukia, which are meant to convey the wish for lasting bonds with loved ones. Also noteworthy is that the watches will be presented in a special box designed by popular illustrator Mocha, which expresses the worldview of the series.

The new theme of the Eternal Blue limited edition model is Tanabata!

　Seiko has announced the "Eternal Blue Limited Edition," a limited edition model that depicts the Tanabata night sky under the theme of "May the bonds with loved ones last forever." The Eternal Blue Limited Edition is a part of Seiko's lineup that began in 2016, and is a series that embodies the wish that "happiness will come to all who wear it."

　This time, four models in total will be released from the Eternal Blue limited edition model, two pairs of Seiko Selection and Seiko Lukia. Each model is based on a deep blue reminiscent of the night sky, with a delicate glitter dial to represent the twinkling stars.

　The particularly large, shining indexes at 4, 8, and 11 o'clock are designed to resemble Altair (Aquila, Hikoboshi), Deneb (Cygnus), and Vega (Lyra, Vega), respectively, creating a fantastical design in which the Summer Triangle appears on the dial.

　Each model will be limited to 600 pieces and will go on sale from Saturday, July 6, 2024.

Titanium solar radio-controlled pair watch

　One of the pair's watches is a solar-powered radio-controlled model with a titanium case and bracelet. The dials of the men's model, the "Seiko Selection" Ref. SBTM355, and the women's model, the "Seiko Lukia" Ref. SSQW085, feature a bright gradient in the center, resembling the Milky Way. Rag-grown diamonds sparkle on either side of this gradient, at the 4 o'clock position (Altair) on the Ref. SBTM355 and the 11 o'clock position (Vega) on the Ref. SSQW085, representing the strong bond between Hikoboshi and Orihime.

Stainless steel solar-powered pair watch

　The other is a pair of solar-powered watches made of stainless steel. The men's model "Seiko Selection" Ref. SBPX151 and the women's model "Seiko Selection" Ref. STPX101 feature a dial design with a uniform, subdued blue, with gold accents at the 4 and 11 o'clock positions.

It will be housed in a specially designed box featuring a popular illustrator's illustration of the world of this work.

　Another notable feature is that the watch will be sold in a special box featuring an illustration by popular illustrator Mocha, inspired by the film, of a beautiful Tanabata night sky and a tranquil, mystical natural landscape. When two of the pair model boxes are placed side by side, the illustration is completed, a design that perfectly matches the theme of the film, "May the bonds with loved ones last forever."
