HF-AGE Sendai store has renovated its only Patek Philippe corner in Tohoku. It opened with a grand ceremony on June 8th. 　HF-AGE began as an authorized dealer of mechanical watches in 1989, and this year marks its 35th anniversary. To mark this milestone, the HF-AGE Sendai store, which opened in 2007 and is the only authorized dealer of Patek Philippe in Tohoku, has been renovated. The new store space was unveiled with a grand ceremony on June 8th. The flagship store is located on Jozenji Street, lined with zelkova trees that symbolize Sendai, the "City of Trees." The store has been popular with many watch enthusiasts as a place where they can experience an attractive lineup of watches while enjoying beautiful scenery that changes with the seasons.

　The renovation included a significant expansion of the adjacent store floor space. A notable feature is the spacious reception area, based on the latest concept that expresses the Patek Philippe worldview. An essential maintenance room is also available, offering strap replacement, bracelet adjustment, battery replacement, and other maintenance services.

　There are multiple spacious negotiation spaces throughout the 90-square-meter store. The interior is decorated in calming tones based on ivory and brown, which are Patek Philippe's image colors, and is furnished with luxurious interior décor and chandeliers in a modern and sophisticated atmosphere. HF-AGE Sendai store is staffed by dedicated staff who have been certified by Patek Philippe in Switzerland, and the negotiation corner provides a space where customers can leisurely examine watches while communicating with the staff.

The Calatrava Ref. 5077/100, which depicts a blue kimono using cloisonné techniques

　The Calatrava Ref. 5077/100 depicts a traditional blue kimono in cloisonné and flinqué enamel, as well as in enamel miniature painting. The translucent blue flinqué enamel is the base color, allowing the guilloched gold dial to shine through. The piece is finished with 17 different colors of glaze, and two additional colors of enamel miniature painting are used to create the details.

"World Time Cloisonné" Ref. 5131, featuring a world map made of cloisonné enamel

　This world time model features a world map in the center of the dial, crafted in cloisonné enamel. It was previously considered extremely difficult to incorporate a world time mechanism into a wristwatch, as this would have resulted in a large mechanism, but watchmaker Louis Cottier and Patek Philippe made it a reality in the 1930s. Many of the models equipped with Louis Cottier's world time mechanisms feature maps in cloisonné enamel, and this model follows in that tradition. This model is deeply connected to the history of watchmaking and Patek Philippe, making it a fitting choice for this ceremony.

The Nautilus Ref. 5711/1A with a different dial color is also on display.

　Three precious Nautilus Ref. 5711/1A watches were on display during the ceremony. The Nautilus collection was launched in 1976, and the Ref. 5711 was released to commemorate the Nautilus's 30th anniversary. On the right is a stainless steel model with a silver-white dial that was released in 2012. The black edging on the hands and indexes is only found on the white dial model, and it was only at an event like this that the opportunity to compare it with models with other dial colors was possible.

Pair watches exhibited at the Watch Art Grand Exhibition (Tokyo 2023)

As a prelude to the Watch Art Grand Exhibition (Tokyo 2023), Patek Philippe has created two limited edition models for Japanese watch enthusiasts. These models celebrate the tradition of pair watches, and are paired with a 36mm case with a lacquered light blue dial and a 31mm case with a lacquered lilac dial. Both models are paired with straps that match the dial color.

Three Calatravas with different styles on display

　Among Patek Philippe's wide-ranging lineup, the Calatrava is undoubtedly the core collection. Three Calatravas with different styles were exhibited at the ceremony. The highlight is the Ref. 6007 in the center of the photo. The ebony black dial combines three different finishes: an inner minute scale with a distinctive concentric pattern, a circular hour circle, and an outer minute scale with a sunburst finish. The center features an embossed carbon pattern that matches the strap, enhancing the sporty impression.

　In addition to the model shown in the photo, the Ref. 6007 also comes in yellow and blue variations, while the Ref. 5227 is available in 18K rose gold, 18K yellow gold, and 18K white gold.

"Grand Complication" set with baguette-cut blue sapphires

　Also on display was the Grand Complication Ref. 5271, equipped with a perpetual calendar and chronograph. This gorgeous model features baguette-cut blue sapphires on the bezel, lugs, and buckle.

　This blue baguette-cut sapphire and the lacquered blue dial, which varies in shade from the outer edge to the inner edge, were striking and eye-catching even when viewed through the display case.

　This grand complication is a symbol of Patek Philippe, but due to its rarity it is rare to see one in person, making this a rare opportunity.

Perfect for choosing ladies' watches, such as "TWENTY~4"

The "TWENTY~4" is a collection developed by Patek Philippe for women. The current lineup alone offers a variety of models, and at the HF-AGE Sendai store, two watches were lined up, each with an olive green or blue soleil dial and two rows of diamonds set in the bezel.

　The diamonds are set in the "Dentelle" (lace style) gemsetting technique, with two alternating rows of diamonds, totaling 160 diamonds and weighing approximately 0.77 carats.
