We'll be introducing new Citizen products announced at the ongoing Baselworld. The first is a new model of the Eco-Drive One. This model, which last year broke the record for the world's thinnest analog light-powered wristwatch with a 1.00mm thick movement and an ultra-thin 2.98mm case, now comes in a new design with a leather strap. The case shape has been refined to emphasize its dressiness. The bezel, like the previous model, uses pink or silver cermet (an alloy made of ceramic and metal, with heat resistance, abrasion resistance, etc.).
The second watch is the ladies' Citizen Elle Ambiluna. As you'd expect from Citizen, which is highly regarded for its design, the cloudy sapphire crystal on the round case represents a hazy moon. The lacquer beads used as accents represent the shadows that accentuate the light. The elegantly shaped bracelet was designed by the artist unit Monocircus. It has an endlessly lovely and feminine style. Both new models show talent in design as well as in technology, which is probably one of Citizen's current strengths.
