"Invention Idea Workshop 'oomiya x CASIO: Gather all you aspiring inventors!!'" will be held at oomiya Wakayama Main Store!

The Oomiya Wakayama flagship store will be hosting the "Oomiya x CASIO Invention Idea Workshop: Gather All You Inventors!!" The event will be held on Saturday, August 24, 2024, with two sessions starting at 8:13 PM and 16:2 PM. The workshop will be aimed at elementary school students, who will learn about the concept of invention and get ideas for ideas, and then use that knowledge to come up with new and fun watches.

A workshop by the Toshio Kashio Invention Memorial Museum, which conveys the joy of invention, will be held at Oomiya Wakayama Main Store!

　The Oomiya Wakayama flagship store will be hosting the "Oomiya x Casio Invention Idea Workshop: Gather All You Aspiring Inventors!!" on Saturday, August 24, 2024. The workshop will be hosted by the Toshio Kashio Invention Museum, which exhibits the achievements of Toshio Kashio, one of the founders of Casio.

　The main participants of this workshop are children. They will learn about the concept of "invention" - the process of creating something that does not exist in the world today - and get inspiration for how to create a "new and fun clock."

　The main program is as follows: First, hear about the development story of G-SHOCK, then do some brain exercises for invention. After that, come up with original ideas for "new and fun watches," present them, and the program concludes with a general review.

　The workshop will be divided into two sessions, each scheduled to last 90 minutes. 　Since June 2017, the 60th anniversary of Casio's founding, the Toshio Kashio Memorial Museum of Invention has been holding "Invention Idea Workshops" at elementary schools across the country, promoting efforts to teach elementary school students the joy of inventing and the joy that comes with contributing to society. The museum is also open to the public free of charge (advance reservations are required for tours). Inside the museum, which was renovated from Toshio Kashio's home, numerous inventions are on display, and visitors can gain a deeper understanding of his thinking by following in his footsteps.
