　The design of the case side, especially around the crown guard, as well as the flat bezel, bracelet, and basic design of the dial, all suggest that it is inspired by the Nautilus. However, while the Nautilus is dominated by soft curves, the Cubitas emphasizes straight lines and edges, giving a firm impression to its square proportions.

　The Ref. 5822P features a small second at 4 o'clock, a moon phase and day of the week display at 7 o'clock, and a large date display at 12 o'clock. Despite being a slim model, it features the new Cal. 240 PS CI J LU movement, which employs an instantaneous calendar. The dial is a blue sunburst with a horizontally embossed pattern, and the navy blue fabric composite strap, which matches the dial color, is paired with a newly available folding buckle. The case is made of platinum, and despite being a strap model, it weighs just 85g. However, the wide case back and the thin, low-center-of-gravity case make it extremely comfortable to wear.
