Following the recent announcement of the limited edition "Atum Enamel," Moritz Grossmann has now announced the Japan-exclusive "Atum Enamel Japan Limited." Like the limited edition, this model's greatest feature is its smooth Grand Feu enamel dial. Furthermore, it comes in two different colors to match the different cases. Let's take a look.
The enamel dials, crafted by the renowned Swiss dial supplier Donze Cadrans, are available in a warm "cream enamel" dial and an "ivory enamel" dial, which is a paler shade than the usual white. They are fitted to 18K rose gold and 18K white gold cases, respectively.
To further highlight the unique color of the enamel dial, Moritz Grossmann has made some thoughtful changes. All of the dial's displays are unified in a brown-violet color to match the color of the company's in-house hands. Furthermore, unlike the capped eye design used on all of the company's hands, which has a weight attached to the opposite side of the tip, the weight has been cut off on this model, resulting in a more plain design that highlights the color and texture of the dial.
The movement is the in-house hand-wound Caliber 100.1. The German silver two-thirds plate, gold chatons, and violet-tempered flat screws create a classic aesthetic, but this time the winding balance spring is colored blue, creating a design that is indistinguishable from pocket watches made in the 19th and early 20th centuries.
Only seven pieces will be produced in both 18K rose gold and white gold, and they will be available in stores in May, delighting the eyes of watch enthusiasts.
