Mühle Glashütte has added the "Tatonia IV Big Date Edition 1994" to its "Edition 1994" collection, commemorating 30 years of its current family ownership in 2024. This new model features a big date display powered by an in-house designed module. The Cal.MU9424-GD automatic movement, which utilizes this module, is being used in this model for the first time.

2024 marks the 30th anniversary of Mühle-Glashütte's current family-owned business structure, and to commemorate this milestone, the "Titonia IV Big Date Edition 1994" has been added to the "Edition 1994" collection.
First introduced in 2002, the "Titonia" began as a model incorporating elements of marine chronometers and classic dress watches that Mühle Glashütte produced when they first started making watches. Subsequently, the lineup expanded with the addition of models incorporating modern designs and sporty elements, and it has now become a core model for Mühle Glashütte. This particular model is based on the "Titonia IV," a simple and modern dress watch with a striking contrast between its round case and sharp hands and indices.
A key feature of this model is the two-disc big date display at 6 o'clock, inspired by the large date display characteristic of early models. This display is made possible by the newly developed automatic movement, Cal. MU9424-GD, which incorporates a module designed by Mühle-Glashütte. The "GD" in the movement name stands for Großdatum, which means big date in German. The automatic oscillating weight is a special edition gold-colored model engraved with the 30th anniversary logo, and it also features a shock-resistant woodpecker neck adjustment mechanism.
Two models are available in different styles: silver and anthracite blue.
The commemorative model comes in two versions: one with a silver dial and one with an anthracite blue dial. The silver dial has a sunray finish, and its classic, bright color creates a dressy impression.

The anthracite blue dial, on the other hand, features horizontally embossed patterns, creating a completely different look. The embossed patterns create a different effect on the way light is reflected, while the combination of the regularly repeated design and the sharp hands and indexes creates a modern impression.

This model, released as the 1994 edition, has other special features in addition to the big date. The 30 in the minute display is painted in Mühle's bright anniversary blue to commemorate the 30th anniversary, and the number 55 has been replaced with 155, as 2024 marks the 155th anniversary of the company's founding.
