This year marks the 140th anniversary of Breitling's founding and the 40th anniversary of the birth of the Chronomat, and a second Japan-limited model has been released to celebrate these two anniversaries. The Chronomat B01 42, featuring a new color palette, features a one-tone color scheme with an icy gray dial and gray rubber strap. This model is perfect for connoisseurs who appreciate understated distinction. The case back of this new model is engraved with "ONE OF 150," indicating the limited production number. Naturally, the movement is Breitling's in-house developed and manufactured movement, Cal. 01, which is a COSC-certified chronometer.

The Chronomat occupies an important place in Breitling's history. Introduced in 1984, at the height of the popularity of ultra-thin quartz watches, Breitling took a bold gamble with an incredibly impressive mechanical watch. Based on the Frecce Tricolori Chronograph, developed and released in 1983 in collaboration with the famed Italian Air Force, the Chronomat returned Breitling's mechanical chronograph to its rightful place in history, building on a century of experience.

The Chronomat was remodeled again in 2020, evolving into a versatile watch that can be used in any situation. Two years later, the Super Chronomat series was born, featuring a more striking 44mm case diameter. The new Chronomat collection features a case with non-curved lugs and the iconic bezel with four rider tabs. Furthermore, the unique Rouleaux bracelet stands out.
