To celebrate the start of its Laine collection, Iai Isuzu in Takamatsu City, Kagawa Prefecture, will be hosting a launch event with founder Toasti Laine. This will be a special event where attendees will be able to see and touch the new P37 collection, which was announced in 2025, and even be able to order a watch from the watchmaker himself.
Excellent craftsmanship
At the heart of the Laine P37 is a reconstructed movement based on the Peuseau 7001 gear train, with the addition of in-house bridges, screws, dial, and hands. Each component is meticulously hand-finished, with key components receiving a black polished finish, a level of craftsmanship rarely seen in this price range.
The movement of the P37 collection is just as beautifully appointed as its exterior. The rose gold-colored bridges are decorated with hand-engraved guilloché, while the steel bridges are black-polished and the other 17 components are individually polished. The beautiful guilloché decoration creates a striking contrast with the frosted finish of the main plate visible behind it. The sharp interior angles and chamfers are finished by hand with unparalleled precision.

The hand-guilloched dial is a testament to the precision and artistry that can only be achieved with a 110-year-old manual machine, and this commitment to traditional craftsmanship ensures that each watch is a unique work of art.
Laine's new collection "P37"
The new collection "P37" announced by Laine represents the pinnacle of watchmaking artistry, combining design, meticulous craftsmanship, and meticulous attention to detail. With outstanding decoration and functionality in a compact form, it is an ambitious work that seeks to redefine luxury in this category.
The case is crafted from polished stainless steel and measures a slim 37mm in diameter and 8mm thick. A double-domed sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating faces the dial, while the case back is made of flat sapphire crystal, allowing for a clear view of the intricate movement. The vintage-style syringe hands are cut from 0.2mm thick steel, then hand-filed to a rounded edge and mirror-polished. For lighter dials, the hands are hardened to a blued finish.
The entire Laine P37 collection is limited to just 99 numbered pieces, each representing a legacy of exceptional watchmaking and offering collectors the opportunity to own a truly unique and distinctive timepiece.
Salmon Spider
The dial features a dynamic "Spider" guilloché pattern in the ever-popular salmon color, paired with heat-treated blued steel hands. The strap is made of Babel leather. While this decorative pattern is usually called "Lightning," many people who saw the prototype referred to it as "Spider," so the new name was chosen.

Ocean Blue Diamond
The blue dial is a slightly different color from the other models used so far, featuring a slightly pale grayish color reminiscent of the cold sea. The diamond-patterned guilloché engraving is finished in-house using a 110-year-old manual machine and is combined with white gold Arabic numerals and dots. The dark blue ostrich leather strap adds a touch of glamour.

Purple Flame
The watch features an attractive new blue-purple dial. It appears almost blue when viewed head-on, but changes to purple when viewed at a slight angle. "Murasaki" is named after the plant used to create the purple color in traditional Japanese plant dyeing. The flame-patterned guilloché engraving, like the others, is produced by a manual machine. It is paired with a gray Babel strap.
