Hamilton Ventura S now available with the iconic flex bracelet

Hamilton has added a new model to its compact Ventura S, combining it with an expandable flex bracelet. The flex bracelet is known to have been customized by Elvis Presley, who was a Ventura lover, after he replaced the original strap with a new one. This model is equipped with a bracelet that fits the compact size, providing both a flexible fit and durability.

The Ventura S is a compact version of the original model.

　The Ventura, released in 1957, is a milestone in the history of watches, as it was the world's first battery-powered wristwatch to be commercially released and a model with an extremely avant-garde design. The newly announced Ventura S retains the design of the original 1957 model, but with a stainless steel case and a compact case size of 36.5mm x 24mm.

Why is the Ventura paired with a Flex Bracelet?

　The Flex Bracelet has a structure in which the links of the bracelet are connected with an elastic material, allowing it to stretch and contract, making it possible to put your hand through it while stretching it, eliminating the need for a buckle and providing a uniquely soft fit.

　One famous Ventura fan is Elvis Presley, also known as the King of Rock and Roll, who is often seen wearing a Ventura with its distinctive triangular case and wave pattern reminiscent of an electrical waveform. Elvis Presley is also known to have customized his own watch with a flex bracelet.

The flex bracelet was created through repeated prototyping

　The flex bracelet on this watch is designed to be the same width as the case (13mm lug width). Its elasticity can easily lead to insufficient strength, and the slenderness of this model makes it difficult to ensure durability. Therefore, repeated prototypes were made during the development of this bracelet to achieve both durability and comfort. The design of the connected polished links echoes the protruding designs from the 7 o'clock and 11 o'clock positions on the case.
