Since its founding in 1906, Van Cleef & Arpels has looked to nature as an endless source of inspiration. Every year, the Maison celebrates the arrival of spring, which brings with it the renewal of life, and its symbolic flowers. Following on from last year, the Maison will collaborate with French artist Alexandre Benjamin Nave, and together with the Otemachi, Marunouchi, and Yurakucho Area Management Association (Ligare), an NPO active in the Otemachi, Marunouchi, and Yurakucho districts, to host an event that will transform Marunouchi Nakadori, located in the heart of Tokyo, into an immersive space filled with vibrant flowers.

Spring is Blooming in Marunouchi with Alexandre Benjamin Nave

Alexandre Benjamin Nave's colorful installation will stimulate the poetic sensibilities of all visitors, from adults to children, and will invite them into a fictional garden that has suddenly appeared in Marunouchi Street Park, in the heart of the city.

Event overview

This year, the lovable creatures of nature, Fauna & Flora (animals and plants), will take center stage in this enchanting festival celebrating the arrival of a special season, which will run from Wednesday, April 16th to Sunday, May 11th, set in Marunouchi Nakadori Street in Marunouchi, Tokyo's historic and cultural center. Brought to life by the new colors created by Nave, the imaginary garden will be fitted out with benches and swings for passersby to relax on, a flower-adorned bridge spanning the pond, and birds resting in the fountain. Flowers will also bloom in abundance in a small outdoor library, and new stories will be woven from the conversations of the people who gather there.

During the event, hands-on workshops will be held to celebrate the arrival of spring with the Maison through a variety of activities, including making windmills and masks, origami, and coloring. A limited-time pop-up boutique will also be set up, providing a space where visitors can experience the love and respect for nature that the Maison conveys through its work. Furthermore, a special program will be held by the "Ecole Jewellery and Jewelry Arts School," which the Maison is committed to as part of its cultural activities. Come join us in celebrating the arrival of spring in 2025 with this dreamy celebration brought to you by Van Cleef & Arpels and Alexandre Benjamin Nave.
