The Railmaster, one of Omega's most timeless masterpieces, has been revived in 2025, retaining its iconic design but featuring a new color gradient. Four models have been released, each with a gray or beige gradient dial.
Omega's new Railmaster for 2025
Omega introduced the new Railmaster in 2025. Like the Seamaster Aqua Terra, it features a symmetrical case and link bracelet. These design features are a faithful continuation of Omega's DNA, as they have been present in all Railmaster models since 2003, helping to create continuity between the series.
A total of four models have been announced, featuring a gray or beige dial with a center second or small second hand, and are available with either a bracelet or leather strap.

This model features a 38mm case with a gray dial and a black gradient, adhering to the minimalism of the original, with no text on the dial other than the OMEGA logo and the Railmaster name. The large indexes and numerals are transferred with white Super-LumiNova, ensuring excellent visibility at any time of day. The stainless steel bracelet has a revised link design, improving integration and making it more comfortable to wear.

Also worth checking out is the version with a beige dial and black gradient. Like the Railmaster released in 2004, it features a small seconds function and a classic look. The indexes and numerals are filled with Super-LumiNova for a vintage feel. It's available with a gold-brown Novonappa leather strap or a stainless steel bracelet.
All metal exteriors of both models feature a combination of polished and brushed finishes, highlighting the contrast in the design.
These new models are equipped with Omega's Co-Axial Master Chronometer-certified movement, the Caliber 8806 (Caliber 8804 for the small seconds model), which is 15 times more resistant to magnetic fields than the original Railmaster, at 15,000 gauss, and has been certified by the Swiss Federal Institute of Metrology (METAS), the highest standard in the industry.
These new Railmasters will be available at our directly managed boutiques from Friday, May 16, 2025, and will then be sold at authorized retailers.
What is the most distinctive feature of the original Railmaster?
The original Omega Railmaster was introduced in 1957 as part of a trilogy known as the "Professional Line." This was a time of significant advancements in science and exploration, and Omega was committed to serving the dedicated professionals in their respective fields. Thus, they designed three highly functional watches: the Speedmaster for race car drivers, the Seamaster 300 for divers, and the Railmaster for railway workers.
The original Railmaster's most notable feature was its excellent anti-magnetic properties. Equipped with a protective inner case, the watch could withstand magnetic fields of up to 1000 gauss, ensuring reliable accuracy for any wearer, including engineers, businessmen, and scientists who worked near railroad tracks. Most anti-magnetic watches of the time could withstand fields of around 60 gauss.
Since then, the Railmaster collection has remained a favorite among Omega fans, particularly for its vintage style and respect for the working class who supported and developed society. Since 2003, the Railmaster has been revived several times, this time in a new stainless steel version.
