Tiffany unveils "Rope by Tiffany" watch inspired by the work of jewelry designer Jean Schlumberger

Tiffany & Co. has unveiled "Rope by Tiffany," a new jewelry watch collection inspired by iconic motifs from Jean Schlumberger's archives. Through these new creations, Tiffany continues to expand its creative horizons.

　Jean Schlumberger is one of the most important jewelry and watch designers of the 20th century. Working at Tiffany for over 30 years from 1956, he created a range of timeless jewelry pieces that are witty, free-spirited, playful and extravagant. The "Rope" design, emblematic of Schlumberger's innovative craftsmanship with precious metals, draws inspiration from the tassels, knitted yarn and woven fabrics that Schlumberger, who grew up in a family of renowned textile manufacturers in Alsace, France, was familiar with from his childhood.

The twisted gold design that is the hallmark of the Rope collection has been reborn as a timepiece that combines original, contemporary aesthetics with innovative watchmaking techniques. Equipped with Tiffany's first solar movement, the Rope by Tiffany watch combines highly accurate timekeeping with an exceptionally long power reserve of eight months, even without sunlight. While brighter conditions are preferable, the watch can operate in any light, whether sunny or cloudy, indoors or outdoors.
