Longines, the pioneer of dual time watches, has announced five new models from its "Longines Spirit Zulu Time" collection, which continues the brand's history. Each model exudes the elegance and sportiness that are characteristic of Longines.

The Longines Spirit Zulu Time 1925 is a must-see

This commemorative model celebrates the 100th anniversary of the launch of Longines' first dual-time watch, the Zulu Time. The rose gold color of the bezel and dial creates a gorgeous impression. Automatic winding (Cal. L844.4). 21 jewels. 25,200 vph. Power reserve of approximately 72 hours. Stainless steel case (diameter 39mm, thickness 13.5mm). Water resistant to 10 bar. Price: 624,800 yen (tax included).

The most noteworthy of the five models is the Longines Spirit Zulu Time 1925. This model commemorates the 100th anniversary of Longines' first dual-time watch, developed in 1925. Its distinctive feature is its vibrant coloring. The 24-hour bezel insert is capped with an 18K rose gold cap, while the hands, indexes, and logo are all in rose gold. The bezel insert also features a circular finish, creating a subdued impression. The extensive use of rose gold in this model pays homage to the copper band marking the prime meridian, which was embedded in the ground of the Royal Observatory, Greenwich, built 350 years ago.

The dial is matte black, and combined with the three-dimensional Arabic numerals, it offers excellent visibility. At the 6 o'clock position, there are five stars, signifying the watch's high precision as a COSC-certified chronometer, and a date display. Between the date display and the minute markers, the words "1925-2025" are inscribed in black, indicating that this is a commemorative model. The GMT hand, which makes one rotation every 24 hours, has a black base to prevent confusion with other hands and improve readability.

The stainless steel case has a compact 39mm diameter. The edgy design, characteristic of the Longines spirit, is sharply finished with a primarily hairline finish and polished chamfering. In addition to the versatile stainless steel bracelet, it also comes with a black NATO strap. The bracelet is equipped with an interchangeable system that allows it to be attached and detached from the case with a single touch.

By replacing the strap with a NATO strap, it can be worn more easily. By using it for different occasions, such as on and off, or depending on the season, you can fully bring out the charm of this watch.

The movement can be viewed through the see-through case back. The rose gold-colored rotor engraved with a celestial sphere is a special feature unique to this watch. The Cal. L844.4 movement is a GMT movement that allows the hour hand to move independently. By combining this function with the bidirectional rotating bezel, it is possible to display the time in up to three time zones at once.
