Oris, which announced its brand renewal in 2025 and its brand purpose of "Make People Smile," has announced that it will welcome active individuals from various fields who embody this purpose as "Oris Tomo." The three individuals welcomed to Oris Tomo are pianist Gohei Nishikawa, who performed the grand finale at the closing ceremony of the Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games; painter Shotarou Sanada, who has attracted attention for his work on the theme of "the time that creates a landscape"; and female racer and influencer Maya Orido, who spreads the joy of cars.

Launch of Oris Tomo, a watch that embodies the brand purpose

 Oris has named people who excel in various fields and embody its brand purpose of "Make People Smile" as "Oris Tomo," meaning "close friends," and has now welcomed three Oris Tomo members.

In order to evolve with the times while maintaining its independent spirit, the company underwent a brand renewal in 2025. The new brand purpose is "Make People Smile." This is not just a slogan, but a philosophy that underpins all of Oris' activities and is established as the foundation of its watchmaking.

Pianist Gohei Nishikawa

 After catching the eye of two renowned pianists, the late David Bradshaw and Cosmo Buono, he moved to the United States and became a world-renowned pianist, thrilling audiences at venues such as Carnegie Hall. Midway through his career, he developed dystonia, which prevented his fingers from moving as desired. After intensive rehabilitation, he regained control of his seven fingers, establishing a new style of performance that moved the hearts of countless audiences with his unique performances. He will perform the grand finale at the closing ceremony of the Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games.

Painter Shotarou Sanada

 The painter has attracted attention early on for his style of work, which incorporates unique interpretations of time and gravity and is based on the theme of "new landscapes," and has won numerous awards, including the Art Olympia and Best Debutante of the Year. While still a university student, he began providing artwork to Google Japan and JR East, and created large, permanent murals at JR Nagano Station and JR Ueno Station. It is expected that his incorporation of the theme of "time creating landscapes" will create new synergies with Oris.

Shotarou Sanada

A message from Shotarou Sanada: "I have been painting on the theme of 'time creating a landscape.' Female racer Orido Maya

 After graduating from high school, she went on to beauty school and obtained a national cosmetology license. Influenced by her father, professional racer Manabu Orido, she discovered the joy of cars and obtained her domestic A license in 2021. She then made her racing debut in Toyota's one-make race, the Yaris Cup, and has also competed in the women's only formula race, the Kyojo Cup. She is also active as an influencer, spreading the joy of cars to younger generations and women.
