Spinnikar has announced a limited collaboration model to commemorate the 25th anniversary of the popular animation series "SpongeBob SquarePants." Based on the chronograph model of the brand's "Fluss" diver's watch, the timepiece expresses the humorous world of SpongeBob SquarePants throughout the watch. Two variations, based on yellow and black, will be available, both of which will be released in limited quantities from Friday, August 1, 2025.
Expressing the world of anime with unique expressions and gimmicks
To commemorate the 25th anniversary of the American cartoon "SpongeBob SquarePants," Spinniker has announced a limited collaboration model that embodies the world of the show. The lineup consists of two models: the yellow-based "Eye Spy Yellow" and the all-black "Eye Spy Black." The former is limited to 700 units, and the latter is limited to 650 units.

"The SpongeBob SquarePants" is one of America's most iconic cartoons. Set in the fictional underwater city of Bikini Bottom, the humorous and happy story of the main character, the sea sponge SpongeBob, and his best friend, the starfish Patrick, and other unique characters is loved all over the world.

The two collaboration models that express this worldview feature a dial layout with a 24-hour counter at 3 o'clock and a 60-minute counter at 9 o'clock, boldly incorporating SpongeBob's facial expression. This inset dial is designed as an "eye dial" featuring SpongeBob's eyes, which rotate as the time passes, allowing you to enjoy a humorous change in expression.
The Spinniker collection, "Fluss Chronograph," which served as the base for this work, is a chronograph model of a diver's watch with an authentic case shape and raised tempered glass. For this collaboration, the luminous paint Super-LumiNova is applied not only to the scale and hands but also to the dial to blend in with the world of Bikini Bottom. The luminous paint design is different for the two models, and it is worth noting how their appearances change in the dark.
Both models have a 43mm case diameter. Only the Eye Spy Black has a black case, and each model comes with a rubber strap in a color that matches the dial. The movement is the Japanese-made mechanical quartz movement, Cal. SII-VK64. A notable feature is that the chronograph second hand moves in a sweeping motion, just like a mechanical watch.
This collaboration model will come with a specially designed box as a special feature. Pre-orders for both models will begin on July 18, 2025.
