Seiko's Credor has announced the new "Gold Feather Tourbillon Limited Edition." This limited edition model features a dial decorated with lacquer, maki-e, and mother-of-pearl inlay by Kaga maki-e master Isshu Tamura, and a thin tourbillon movement.

Credor, Seiko's dress watch brand, has announced a new "Gold Feather Tourbillon Limited Edition Model." The release date is scheduled for Friday, October 24, 2025. Only 10 pieces will be available worldwide, with seven of them being sold in Japan.
A slim tourbillon watch that combines traditional Japanese techniques and watchmaking technology. The dial is decorated with lacquer, maki-e, and mother-of-pearl. This watch, which combines Japan's sophisticated traditional techniques with watchmaking technology, features an elegantly designed dial. The glossy black dial featuring dancing birds showcases the meticulous craftsmanship of Isshu Tamura, a master of Kaga maki-e (Japanese lacquerware). Each element, including the lacquer that covers the entire dial, the red maki-e that erupts from the tourbillon at 9 o'clock, which represents the sun, and the kirikane or mother-of-pearl that adorn the birds flying toward the crest mark at 12 o'clock, were all hand-finished by Tamura. The crest mark, Credor logo, and the delicate gold feather logo at 6 o'clock are all painted in taka maki-e (high-quality lacquerware).
This model is equipped with the Cal. 6850, a mechanical hand-wound movement. Despite being just 3.98mm thick, it is a complication movement equipped with a tourbillon. The tourbillon carriage on the dial side is shaped like a bird with its wings spread, and the see-through back features a design inspired by flight feathers, created using engraving and lacquer. The delicate control of a skilled craftsman is essential to imparting various finishes to this thin movement.
The 8.6mm thick case is worthy of the name Gold Feather. It is made of platinum. The case is both strong and thin thanks to the structure in which the case and case back are integrated. The smoothly curved case back and the crystal set into it create a lightweight feel when worn.
The belt is made of black crocodile leather with no stitching, giving it a dressy look that matches formal occasions such as wearing a tuxedo.
