A meticulously crafted dragon created by mobilizing skilled artisans from a variety of fields
A dragon mask, featuring a divine color scheme primarily consisting of vermilion and gold, is placed at the center of the dial, meticulously crafted by skilled artisans, with meticulous details including its long horns, twisted tendrils, and sharp fangs. The dragon, sculpted to a highly three-dimensional form by engraving, embodies both strength and delicacy, and its specially cut emerald eyes add to its vitality. The creation of this mask required the combined efforts of Jaquet Droz's artisans and watchmakers, including engravers, carvers, miniaturists, and gem-setters, to complete the project, taking over a year of conception and over 200 hours of work.
The dragon mask and background are made up of separate parts, and the back of the dragon mask is engraved before being assembled, giving the mask a three-dimensional appearance as if it is floating.
The Jaquet Droz 2625SQ automatic tourbillon movement, with its floating tourbillon at the 12 o'clock position, gracefully rotates against the backdrop of a dragon mask. The automatic rotor, main plate, and bridges are boldly skeletonized, allowing the watch to be viewed from both sides in all its detail.
