Chronoswiss has announced the Opus Chronograph Purple Rain to commemorate the 30th anniversary of the birth of the masterpiece Opus, which redefined the concept of the chronograph by founder Gerd R. Lang. The case is made of vivid purple titanium, and the dial and movement are finished with the openwork that has become synonymous with Opus, allowing you to enjoy the chronograph mechanism to the fullest.

The new Opus Chronograph Purple Rain celebrates the 30th anniversary of the iconic Chronoswiss Opus. Not only does it feature a purple case and dial, but it also features a strap that changes to purple when exposed to UV light.

The Chronoswiss icon, "Opus"

First released in 1995, the Opus was a model introduced by Chronoswiss founder Gert R. Lang as a way to redefine the traditional styling of chronographs, which had previously placed emphasis on functional practicality.

The Opus quickly gained popularity as a watch that changed the image of the chronograph up to that point, and grew into a representative model of Chronoswiss, establishing itself as an icon that determined the direction of modern independent watchmaking. It remains a popular model even now, 30 years after its birth.

The Opus featured a skeleton design that allowed the movement's structure and operation to be seen, harmonizing with the exterior design. This made the Opus chronograph not just a functional tool, but also a work of art with a strong presence.

The Opus Chronograph Purple Rain, released to commemorate Opus' 30th anniversary, is a limited edition model with a skeleton design that inherits the tradition of Opus. The case, which inherits the styling of previous models, is rounded and combined with Chronoswiss' iconic onion-shaped crown, giving it a classic feel.
