Breitling has announced the new Navitimer B19 Chronograph 43 Perpetual Calendar Japan Limited. This model is equipped with the Cal. B19 perpetual calendar chronograph movement, which was released to commemorate the company's 140th anniversary in 2024. Only 20 pieces will be sold in Japan.
This Japan-exclusive model features a mother-of-pearl dial. Because it is a natural material, each dial has a unique appearance. Automatic (Cal. B19). 39 jewels. 28,800 vph. Power reserve of approximately 96 hours. 18KRG case (43mm diameter, 15.62mm thick). Water resistant to 3 bar. Limited to 20 pieces in Japan. Price: 8,888,000 yen (tax included).
The dial is made of mother-of-pearl, a material Breitling has used on many of its Japan-exclusive models. The way it reflects light and sparkles with iridescence gives it a dressy impression. The subdials at 3, 6, and 9 o'clock feature a calendar and coaxial totalizer or small seconds, while at 12 o'clock, a fantastical moon phase display featuring a realistic moon shines. An aviation slide rule runs around the outer periphery of the dial, and various calculations can be performed by rotating the bezel.
The 43mm case is crafted from 18K red gold. While it is a sporty chronograph watch, the brilliance of the gold material, combined with the mother-of-pearl dial, gives it a sense of elegance. The polished tops of the lugs and hairline finish on the case sides create a striking finish that is also appealing.
The case back is see-through, allowing the internal movement to be viewed. Caliber B19 boasts high specifications, including a perpetual calendar that does not require leap year adjustment, moon phase, and chronograph functions, as well as high precision and a long power reserve of approximately 96 hours, making it a COSC-certified chronometer.
The watch is fitted with a black alligator leather strap with an 18K red gold folding buckle for easy fastening to the wrist.
