Timex releases three collaboration models celebrating the 90th anniversary of the board game "Monopoly"

Timex, the American watch brand, has released a collaboration model to commemorate the 90th anniversary of the world-famous board game "Monopoly." The three base models are "Merlin," "MK1," and "Weekender." These playful models incorporate designs inspired by the game, including illustrations of the mascot character, "Mr. Monopoly."

Three unique models that combine playfulness and history

　Timex has released three collaboration models with Monopoly, the board game played all over the world. These commemorative models celebrate the 90th anniversary of the game, and were created through a collaboration between Timex and Monopoly, two companies with long histories in the United States.

　Monopoly is a board game released by Parker Brothers (now a subsidiary of Hasbro) in 1935. Each player rolls dice like a Sugoroku board game to progress through the game, buying, selling, building, and negotiating with other players on the land or company they land on. The goal is to ultimately bankrupt the other players and, as the name Monopoly suggests, to "monopolize" their assets. Its simple yet deep gameplay has made it popular as a game that teaches the basics of asset building and cultivates business acumen, and it has been enjoyed around the world for 90 years.

　This collaboration model, which celebrates Monopoly's milestone, is based on three of Timex's main collections and features the game's iconic character, Mr. Monopoly, and the design codes of the game board reflected in the watch's design.

　The Ref. TW2Y46900 is based on the mechanical model of Timex's classic "Merlin." It features a silver sunray dial with Mr. Monopoly in the center, and his arms function as the hour and minute hands, a unique design. The black leather strap is attached with a quick-release spring bar, requiring no tools, and you can easily change the style to suit your mood by purchasing additional straps (sold separately).

　This limited edition model of the "MK1" inherits the lineage of military watches. It features a 36mm resin case with a clean white dial featuring the Mr. Monopoly logo at the 6 o'clock position. It also features light green luminous material throughout to ensure visibility in dark places, and the pull-through fabric strap is the same color.
