Featuring traditional Chinese colors and the motif of the Chinese zodiac animal for 2026, the Fire Horse, the timepiece is limited to 100 pieces worldwide. Baume & Mercier has announced a specially designed Clifton watch to celebrate the Chinese New Year, which begins on Tuesday, February 17, 2026. The watch incorporates motifs of freely galloping horses throughout, in reference to this year's Chinese zodiac sign, the Fire Horse.
In China, the year of the Fire Horse refers to the year of the Fire Horse, which is linked to the sun. This watch features motifs of this noble animal, symbolizing power, energy, and freedom. The Caliber BM13-1975A movement is an in-house movement that boasts a long power reserve of approximately five days, is resistant to magnetic fields of 1500 gauss, and is COSC-certified for high precision. The back of the black alligator strap is lined in red, symbolizing joy and success, showcasing the traditional Chinese color even in places that are not usually visible.
